STAY TUNED!
If you haven't heard of MARZ before, that's because the masses are finally catching onto something that's been on the rise for several years. The long storied career of MARZ is no secret to those in the music industry, from the countless national tours to the extensive soundtrack work he has done to working with the likes of Swizz Beatz, Snoope Dogg, Twista, touring with Tech N9ne, Paul Wall and Korn and being one of the founding members of the Block CEO movement. MARZ is finally ready to take the current music scene by storm and this is only the beginning
Following his departure from Elementree Records, MARZ returned to his hometown of Chicago and launched his own indepedent label and movement, Billion Dollar Ballers Entertainment. It was time for him to start making the music that he truly loved rather than adjusting to industry standards. In the years that have followed, he has released 4 new albums including his most recent project, "MARZ Presents: Grind Music The Movement" vol.1 & 2, which has become one of the best selling indepedent albums to come out of Chicago in recent years. A complete 180 of MARZ's earlier music, the new project mixes todays commercial elements with the raw street intensity that embodies the city of Chicago. MARZ's infectious beats, slick metaphors and witty punchlines are proving that no matter what style he attacks he continues to stay ahead of the curve on everything he does. Not only is MARZ doing it with his music, but with his personality as well as seen when MARZ ventured into the radio world with the launch of "The Billion Dollar Baller Show" on FearlessRadio.com. Although the show only lasted 1 year due to a rigorous recording and touring schedule, "The Billion Dollar Baller Show" was one of the highest rated shows ever on FearlessRadio.com and was also voted #1 Internet Hip Hop Radio Show by the fans. With their no FCC regulations in place, MARZ and his team created a show so out of control and controversial that it made Howard Stern look like Sesame Street. MARZ's outrageous antics and comments combined with the shows positive message not only helped new listeners become familiar with MARZ, but also attracted them to his contagious and positive personality and outlook on life.
For years MARZ's name has echoed throughout music's inner circle as a revolutionary artist, songwriter and producer. But his travels and experiences over the past 15 years have also turned MARZ into one of music's premier up and coming businessmen. He began building the Billion Dollar Baller Movement with the signings of Chicago artists Pack and DJ E.L.I. and in 2006 he took the label national with the signing of Michigan-bred artist and 14 year old sensation, Redbone. MARZ has also ventured deep into the cinema world by providing his music to numerous tv shows, feature films and even video games. With his music appearing in such projects as Catwoman, Nip/Tuck, Without A Trace, CSI, Real World, and many many more, MARZ's music has become more nationally accessible than ever and the masses are taking notice. In 2007, MARZ took another step towards unifying his city by teaming with 108 Records and Torture Chamber Records to create the Block CEO supergroup, a group that consists of 6 of the hottest up and coming rappers to emerge from Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. His influence in Chicago has become more and more evident in recent years as other artists are beginning to adapt MARZ's "Find God, Get Money" slogan as well as his feel good style of music.
Now, with his entire city behind him, MARZ has resumed his relentless climb to the top and it seems as if there is nothing that can stand in his way. Fresh off the Fire & Ice tour with Tech N9ne and Paul Wall, MARZ is planning bigger and BIGGER things for 08. Not only does he plan on touring throughout the remainder of the year but 2008 also will debut MARZ's jump into the book world with the release of "The 30 Block CEO Commandments". The book is a success conscienceness guided outline for positive living and higher achivement, all learned through MARZ's trials and tribulations throughout his lifetime.
With his mind more focused than ever, MARZ has become one of the most respected and admired artists to lead Chicago's independent up and coming music movement. Mix that with his incredible drive to win and you have a formula that is destined to make history.
