 A Real Woman's Perspective on Love and Relationships- Men take notes**** 1. DON'T WASTE MY TIME! If you wanted a Happy Meal, you wouldn't go to Red Lobster now would you? To put it bluntly, if you just want sex, there are many women who only have that offer. I am not, however, one of those women. Be honest about your intentions and what it is you want from the beginning. We can always just be friends. 2. I DO NOT HAVE SEX WITH MEN WHO ARE JUST MY FRIENDS! If we have sex, we are not just friends anymore. That homie lover friend thing doesn't wash with this sistah. This is a package deal. No a la carte here. 3. GIRLFRIEND DOES NOT EQUAL WIFE! JUST AS BOYFRIEND DOES NOT EQUAL HUSBAND!!!!!! When I am single, I want to be single. That means I would like to be able to come and go as I please without answering to anyone. I have a father, and you are not he. If I do something for you (cook, wash your clothes, clean your house ect...), It is a courtesy I am extending to you, not a requirement or duty that I owe you. 4. TRUST ME!!!! I need my space too.. Respect it, and I will respect yours. There are times when I want to go out with the girls. That does not mean I am messing around on you. If you are treating me good, I have no reason to go anywhere else. Think about that!!! 5. JUST BECAUSE WE ARE TOGETHER DOESN'T MEAN WE SHOULD STOP DATING (EACH OTHER) ! I like to go out on dates and have fun!!!!!! No one wants to sit in the house all the time. I like to travel, go to the movies, out to dinner, to plays, etc... 6. CHEAPNESS IS VERY UNATTRACTIVE Good women aren't out to dig anybody's gold, but we do not like a man who pinches pennies like they feel someone is trying to take something from them. Share!!! And let's build on what we have together! Life is too short to be cheap and deny yourself affordable pleasures. 7. ALL WORK AND NO PLAY IS BORING! Don't ever get complacent or take me for granted. If you find me attractive, what makes you think another man doesn't. Don't tempt me to look elsewhere! I am happy where I am at . You are ambitious and focused. That is one of the qualities that attracted me to you in the first place, but there has to be a balance between work and play. You have to work at a relationship just like you have to work at anything else in your life. 8. YOU HAVE GOT TO GO DOWNTOWN! That's the way to my love! If you don't know how to, you had better rent a tape. A real woman likes to be freaked! 9. WOMEN HAVE ORGASMS TOO! Unfortunately a lot of women fake orgasms. Take the time and learn how to satisfy your woman. 10. FOREPLAY IS AN ONGOING PROCESS! The way you treat me outside the bedroom, plays a huge role in how well you are able to please me on the inside of the bedroom. Nothing turns a woman on more then kindness and respect! REMEMBER FOR A WOMAN, SEX IS MOSTLY MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL! If you can massage my mind, you can moisten my %#&@$!! 11. ROMANCE+PASSION+FREAKINESS=SAT ISFIED WOMAN! You can f*** the s*** out of a woman and make love to her at the same time. No woman likes to be treated like a fragile piece of glass, but we don't want to be beat up on either. Tenderness and warmth can be combined with unquenchable passion and endless exploration possibilities satisfies a woman. 12. LOVE ME FOR ME! I am not perfect, but I am striving for perfection. Please do not expect me to be. If you have a problem with me, tell me not your boys. Your boys will try and take your woman in a minute. Accept me for who I am, encourage me and support me as I strive to grow! 13. SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND MEAN WHAT YOU SAY! Nothing upsets a woman more then a man who tells her one thing, but does another. Your word is your most valuable resource. Once a woman loses faith in your word, it is very difficult for you to earn it back. If you say you are going to call, call! It is so simple. If we have plans and you can't make it, let me know. Don't waste my time! 14. LET ME LET YOU IN ON A LITTLE SECRET! Most (not all) women would love to meet a man who they could "submit" to. However, you must act like a man to be treated like one. If you want to be the head of the household, I don't have a problem with that, and I welcome it! But the woman is the heart and the backbone. Remember, what happens to the brain, when the heart stops working. It dies. Respect and cherish your woman, and she will treat you like a KING! Coming home drunk and acting irresponsible with the finances is not a good way to maintain your status as the head of the household! Black Women are survivors. We do what needs to be done to take care of the family. Even if that means being the mommy and the daddy when we should not have to... 15. BE A MAN! Whether we say it or not, we expect you to be a man. No woman wants a man who she can run all over, and who can't think for himself. Nothing turns me off more then an indecisive man.
