This page is dedicated to my sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Innnnncorporated, Q Psi Phi, and all black greek letter organizations. FELLAS  My fellow greeks please keep reading because I have some good sh!t to share with you.Let me humble myself first and pay respects to my 5 prophites (spring 92)of the Punishing Punishing Pi Phi Chapter, who took a chance and saw what an asset I would be to this great organization therefore allowing me to pledge Spring 93. I am # 10 of 14 known as DOUBLE IMPACT. Much Delta Love to my neo Spring 95 (Lone Duck)who know me as MOST HONORABLE DEAN UNIQUE & MYSTIQUE Why did I pledge DST? Delta is my extended family of sisters. The sisters I never had. I share with them a set of basic values, ideals, beliefs, and commitment. What people don`t understand about blacksororities and fraternities is that it is unlike buying a life membership in the NAACP, joining Delta Sigma Theta means a Delta is bonded for LIFEwhether she is active or inactive.<  So you still ask yourself, what is a Delta? Just For The Sake Of Contraversy I Must Say This: A Delta is What an AKA ain`t What a Zeta wants to be What a Sigma can`t What the Alpha`s like What the Kappa`s love What QUE PSI PHI can`t get enough of .............LOL   This is my dedication to all greeks in The Great 8.Why We Are Linked  Few are chosen to learn the rights of the dead. In death, there are stages that the dead go through (rites of passage) to pass to the other world (cross over). The Egyptians believed that your body and possessions went with you into the new world. Hence, they had elaborated burial rites and tombs, (called pyramids for Pharaohs, their wives and children). The passage into the new world, you were guided across the desert and through your trials by the light of the moon and the stars. PBS Fraternity is represented by the Crescent Moon. If you followed this it would take you where you needed to go, served almost as a compass. You were then guided by the Falcon-God of the sun and the Pharaohs chorus, "High Above". After crossing the desert, you came to a place of testing (i.e., CROSSING THE BURNING SANDS). This place is nature and is represented by the AKA Sorority Ivy. After crossing the desert, the first thing you would come upon is the Sphinx the guardian of the tomb or pyramid. The Sphinx represents A Phi A Fraternity. You needed to solve the riddle ofthe Sphinx to pass into the tomb or pyramid (This is the special relationship between Alpha and Delta). The vessel for the passage, the Pyramid represents DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY. You enter the pyramids where the rest of the journey is shroud in secrecy. Your lessons were given to you on a scroll. K.A.Psi Fraternity is represented by the Scroll. The God was Thoth the "Leader" and the Ibis God of Wisdom, writing and the moon. The Cat Goddess Bastet was known as the "Devouring Lady." She was the Goddess of the home and of the sunlight. According to one myth, she was the personification of the soul of Isis. She was also called the "Lady of the East." Her counterpart, "Lady of the West", was Sekhmet who represents Z.Phi.B Sorority. Sekhmet tested the soul of the dead during the passage. After you had learned all you needed to learn and approved your worthiness to Bastet, you were ready for the ultimate test. The major organs were removed during mummification. At this point, you presented your heart to Maat, who represents S.G.Rho Sorority. Maat measured your heart against the feather on her scales. If your heart weighed more than the feather you could not proceed on to the afterlife. Finally, you met Anubis, known as the "Royal Child" and was God of mummification embalming. Anubis had the head of a jackal, which is a type of tenacious dog and represents Que Psi Phi FRATERNITY. He assisted in the rites by which a dead man was admitted to the underworld. Anubis was worshipped as the inventor of embalming and who embalmed the Dead Osiris and thereby helping to preserve him that he might live again. It is said that the final test of the rites of passage was physical and given by Anubis.
