I am a married Christian male who loves our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I enjoy listening to Gospel music and Old School tunes. My daughter and son also keep me updated on the latest hip hop, reggae, R&B, jazz and etc. If you have teenagers you know what I mean.

My previous occupations have been Correctional Officer, Group Home Administrator, Youth Counselor, Athletic Coach and Sales Manager for an auto dealership.

I'm not sure why God placed me in such a diverse group of occupations, but I never question his purpose.

In 1988, I gave my life to Christ, but noone ever explained to me the in depth process of change. I expected my old life to disappear permanently and the new one to emerge. You know, preach the gospel and have everybody feel exactly what you are feeling at that moment. It did not happen that way. Old habits do die hard, but I discovered what Matthew 6:24 really meant. Just to paraphrase, "you cannot serve two masters. you must hate the one and love the other." If you are truly seeking Christ and trying to live your life in the same fashion before you came to Christ, it will not work. As I continued to party, I also attended bible study, choir practice and Sunday service. Something else I discovered was; you are not convicted by the word of God overnight. That is also a process. (Hebrews 4:12, paraphrasing, "the word of God cuts like a two edged sword." In other words, it helps us to re-think our thinking process and assists us in getting closer to the light and shedding the darkness. The time frame is different for all God's children. It touches some faster than others. As long as you have faith, belief and hope, his mercy and grace will always lead you in the right direction.

If there's anyone out there who wants to correspond, please feel free to contact me. Just remember, no matter what it is that you're going through, God has a plan for you. Matthew 12:28-30 says, "come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laiden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart. And surely you will find rest unto your souls."

There is no burden to heavy for Jesus Christ. God bless you.

T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE JESUS CAME T'was the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were laid on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not soon come there. The children were dressing to crawl into bed, Not once ever kneeling or bowing their heads. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Night Show while I took a nap. When out of the East there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash Tore open the shutters and they went up in a cladder! When what to my wondering eyes should appear? But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be The Day! The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself. In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said, "It's not here" my head hung in shame. The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound While all the rest were left standing around. I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and this sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready THAT NIGHT. In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is soon drawing near. There's only one life and when HE comes the last call We'll find that the BIBLE WAS TRUE AFTER ALL! ! !
