Forgotten Dream

I feel the lonliness creeping up inside me

like an untended vine, uninhibiting and wildly

making its way across the face of a building



all the while, emcumbering and unyeilding

Twisting and winding its way around my soul

constricting and binding my heart

the ache eventually takes its toll


and the feelings inside are tearing me apart



At times the pain is unbearable

and clearly becomes too much

When all that is memorable

is the longing for your touch



I think of you often and love you in my dreams

but a dream is just a cloud of some forgotten theme

The music of your face still echoes in my ears

and becomes too much and has driven me to tears



If only you would come to me and tell me how you feel

and take me in your arms and tell that it`s real

that our love can finally be seen

and not some forgotten dream....
