Just some pics from DC today.  Even with some of the metro stations shutting down and all the hassles with getting through the sea of people, I wouldn't have missed this for anything.  The pics aren't the best quality but they can tell the story better than I can...I'm still speechless.

It was a frigid cold outside that morning but I already had my mind made up to walk to work.  Fortunately, I did remember to grab some loose change before I stepped out of my apartment. I figured if I was going to be an idiot and walk 20 blocks on one of the coldest days of the year, I’ll be an idiot with some hot coffee in my hand.

The most unique question
Is the one that's never asked
The thought or feeling
That fades into the past
Measured only by fear
Stifled by regret
If the future does hold
That one simple threat
That the unique thoughts of many
Will soon fade to just one

And that one

We will forget

Time is so precious
Patience is so rare
Hastiness leads to frustration
Frustration to despair
Days revert to hours
That drown in minutes
Gasping for air
Minutes dissolve to seconds
Time suddenly so unfair
Always searching...
Looking for the future
Desperately trying to get there
But when it arrives
Will there even be

Time left to care 

Dismissal of thoughts
Dreams of despair
Belief in things unseen
Grasping for things unware
False prophets bring hope
Just keep juggling the air
Keep trying too hard
And go nowhere
For the belief of faith
Promise and Truth
Brings strength
Security

Time is the proof
