Single Woman's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep; 40 hours of work and school; my body weak;
what I wouldn't give just to lay my head on someone warm; and for them to hold me tight in their arms;

Face of a god, body off the hook, intelligent, clean, and he knows how to COOK;
A lover, a friend, in the bedroom a hoe,
and who has another job other than trying to get doe;
He Keeps the girls out our business and most of his nigga's too, and knows we have more respect for one another than to sleep with any of the others Crew;

Always has my back, emotional, financial, or otherwise,
and you wont find him out in the club with 5 or 6 of his guys,
sexin? and suckin? on some other girl in da club,
and then come home inconspicuous, kiss me and give me a rub,

My man knows better then that, He wouldn't even try,
So I trust him when he goes out. I just kiss him, say have a good time and good bye.


Lord, if you send him to me, just between me and you;
This is the promise I'll make; of what I'll do,
adore him each day, and love him down each night too;
keep a smile on his face, and asure him that he's my one and only boo;
I'll keep love in his heart, make sure he knows he's on my mind whenever we're apart;
