Hello to all that visit! My name is Annette D. Colbert-Latham. There is nothing better than love! I celebrated a private wedding ceremony on December 30, 2009 with my husband. It is still the best decision ever. I'm Christian and God's Word is first. Marriage is honorable, I don't care what people say. And that scripture about He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. We are experiencing that blessing daily. I will use this site to network, and keep friendships because that is important as well. My husband and I met 30 years ago, he proposed to me before I took a career move to D. C. Sadly, due to my immaturity I left without an answer. This time, we jumped the broom so quick, I'm still waking up smiling and laughing about it. Melvin told me, "I was a flight risk". Imagine that! I met his family in Mississippi and had a wonderful time enjoying the fun with home folks. They fed me lots of fish and grits for brunch but the jokes, teasing and plain conversation made my heart very happy. My husband travelled to Japan 2008 and this year we will attend Cannes for about 2 months as well as Hong Kong, China, and I have a study with Sotheby's Institute of Art for Art History during this summer in Singapore. Our fall we will be in Abu Dhabi! Thank God, Melvin is a good steward of his time and money. He's an Instructor with FAA Academy and the very lover of my soul. He's generous, loves God and helps me to keep the priorities straight. Our favorite joke is to "Keeping our love simple, yet beautiful in and out of bed". I wish for all of you the same joy, peace and happiness, too. It is available. To all Christians, keep God first. My husband and I pray daily as well as remember that the renewal to loving one another happens daily. It is more than a big house, cooking and cleaning. I wish for every lady a partner that will allow you to grow and not be a 'housewife' because there is more to life than that. Each one of us deserves life, and the pursuit of happiness. May all of your dreams happen right before your very eyes. Keep the faith, God is faithful and His promises are true! My career as a Filmmaker is still growing and I am glad! I'm still producing new projects and yes I added my husband to all of the companies just as he added me to his life. The past should be over, so let go of the luggage, if you're planning to go far. Travel light, and get going! Stop dwelling on past relationships and hurts. You heal as you keep moving forward. Don't stew for long on anything. That trip to Lucerne, Switzerland, Toronto, Ontario and all other places allowed me an International presence as well as personal and professional growth. You will see me on much larger scale than even I dreamed of. The risk vs. reward factors are only accentuated by being in love!
