Recommend this profile to your Facebook friends. personal messageIf God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God. God is our Refuge, a very present help in the time of trouble. I joined this site to network with Christian Business People that love the Lord! This is a great communication tool, Many times people are judgemental... "READ THE BOOK BEFORE JUDGING IT BY IT'S COVER!" Being a REAL Christian, there are times when you will be talked about, lied on, cheated, mistreated, abused and used... God reminds us that He will not put anymore ON US than we can bear! Aren't you Glad that God provides a means of escape from every situation that you are confronted with? If you have any enimies, give them to God, He will fight all of your life's battles... Praise God!!! I love all God's people, even those that don't love me! As Christians we must continue to SEEK HIS FACE, and put Him FIRST... Before anything else! At 41 years old, I have decided to look at life, and live in it different...
A LOOK AT WHAT PREVENTS US FROM HAVING A PEACEFUL LIFE...
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints... We spend more, but have less, We buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, More conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, More experts, yet more problems, More medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, We laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, Get up too tired, read too little, Watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, But we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, Big men and small character, Steep profits and shallow relationships, These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, Overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in t he stockroom. A time when technology can bring information to you, And a time when you can choose either to share this information, or delete it... Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, But by the moments that take our breath away. If we eat healthy, exercise, don't smoke... take better care of ourselves, we please God, and we live longer! Also take the TIME to become more PATIENCE... it really introduces you to PEACE! God bless you all, Love always, Rev. Dr. T. Lundale Sykes, D.D. The doors of BlackPlanetChurch are OPEN... recent blog postsMentoring Black MalesPosted
The reality of far too many Black males is that we, as parents, teachers, and mentors are disconnected from the many issues, obstacles, and negative influences hindering their daily success in schools and classrooms. In essence, we are sending them to school without plans and hoping for the best. Subsequently, they are more likely to be incarcerated than graduate from college; more likely to play high school football than to take honors or AP classes; and more likely to be at the bottom of...
