While praying, I experienced an unusual sense of peace and silence, and then I heard God say "I LOVE YOU". What happens when you hear the voice of God? I felt 3 extraordinary things in that instance. The sound was like 12 times the magnitude of thunder, and it seemed like every molecule in the room was filled with his voice. I felt the deepest fear I had ever experienced in my life, and I felt a cylindrical compression in the core of my heart as if God was squeezing it. My response was, with a smile on my face, "God I love you but don't ever talk to me again." I said this because I was in shock and had great fear. I later told God it was okay to speak to me, but he never spoke to me in that way again. My second experience was different, but was related to the first in instruction. While sleeping, I felt a presence hovering over me instructing me what to do about my first experience, and I was agreeing and suddenly my body became totally paralyzed, and when I was able to sit-up I saw a 12-foot-high flash of light. The primary color was purple. My third experience was identical to the second except in regard to the size and color of the flash of light. It was a much smaller white light. To me that signaled the end of that set of experiences. I've had multiple third party experiences that involved God me and another person that I won't go into as well as other experiences which are personal and continue to this day. How can one explain what I experienced? God said I have told you all things. Always go to word of God for your answers. God told Job that only my voice is like thunder. The word of God also tells us people felt great fear upon hearing his voice. In addition, there can a physical component to hearing the word of God. Paul saw a light around him from heaven and was struck down on his way to Damascus and when God spoke to him, Paul trembled. Read it yourself in Acts 9 verses 1 through 9. My experiences involved the light from heaven, the deep fear of hearing the voice of God, the compression in the heart and 2 episodes of total body paralysis.

What does God want from you? Hosea 6:6 states, "For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." Mercy (is 2716 in the Strong's Concordance), and one translation is loving kindness. God wants your love, and he wants you to understand his letter to you in its entirety. The Bible.
