Something I recently found out:
Relationships are so much healthier when your lover is also your
friend. Communication is key. When you have someone you can talk to
and be honest with, it takes a lot of stress out of a relationship.
Get to know someone before you make a commitment. Be honest so both
parties can make a conscious decisions based on truth.
Fact about me: I do not do drama. My
life has been and continues to be drama free. So if you're one that
seems to gravitate towards drama, holla at ya later. It might take
a minute to get to know me because I'm kind of quirky, but if you
do, you'll find out that I'm a very good friend and confidant. Most
of my relationships end amicably. I still remain friends with some
of the women I USED to deal
with because we had that understanding, though I think one only
talks to me because I owe her some money (I still got you every
other Thursday).
One reason I think I'm single: Because
I drive a 1993 Honda Accord.
One reason my kids know anything they want is
only one phone call away: Because I drive a 1993 Honda
Accord. I do pretty nice for myself as far as a job is concerned,
but I learned a valuable lesson a few years ago about living right
at or slightly above your means. I can afford something new, but
I'm gettin it how I live right now with not having a car note. I'm
willing to upgrade though, eventually (if anyone has a '96 Accord
for sale cash, get at me). I'll get a "dream ride" one day, but
after 6 years of tellin folks, "cause see what happened was...," a
brotha gotta play a lil ketchup (I'm hungry while I'm writing
this). Besides, I've found that most women wth sense don't care
about what you're driving now, it's what your doing now about the
future...and my future is lookin pretty promising.
What I must work on this year: Abs!
Abs! Abs!
What I need: A sexy workout partner in
the gym. Coming back from knee surgery is a pain in the azz. I've
managed to drop almost all the weight I gained from havin' to sit
on my keister for almost a year (pics are very recent), but a
little extra motivation in the gym wouldn't hurt. So anyone near
the L.A. Fitness on Camp
Creek or East-West connector, holla at ya boy.
What I'm tired of: I don't wanna hear
one more woman in Atlanta complain that there's no men here. I
think I've been stood up more times this year than in all my
previous 31 years put together. Don't get me wrong. I'll go out to
eat or catch a movie by myself in a minute. Hell, it's cheaper that
way. But don't tell me on Tuesday and all through the week that
we're gonna hook up this weekend, then the weekend gets here and
you have prior engagements. Believe me, I'm just as good a catch as
you are. And no, I can't get at you next weekend 'cause umma have
my daughter. Had to get that one off my chest. Thanks for

Decision I don't regret: Getting out
of the Marine Corps after 8 years. It was an essential part in
making me who I am today, but with the folks we have leading our
country, it was the best move I could of ever made. God bless the
men and women fighting for (maybe you can fill in the blank). Could
Barack Obama get away with the mockery thats being made of what's
supposed to be the most powerful position in the world?
