When thou considereth thy wants and beholdest thy imperfections , acknowledge his goodness and remember his mercy O child of The Most High, who honored the with nobility as a memeber of humanity. Who endoweth the with speech and placed thee in society to receive and confer reciprocal helps and mutual obligations, protection from injuries and thy enjoyment of the comforts and pleasures of life. All these thou oweth to the assistance of others and could not enjoy them but in the bands of society. It is The Most High who endoweth you with speech, the ability to see and touch; for without these you would have no perception of the greatness of The All Mighty. He placed you on earth to give and receive from others an award equal in assistance to each other. It is he The Heavenly One, who is the head of All and gives protection and guidance from injuries. All these you owe to the assistance of others and could not enjoy but in the bosom of The Most High. It is you duty as a child of God to be a friend to humanity , as it is thy interest that humanity should be friendly to you. As the rose breatheth sweetness from its own nature , so the heart of a benevolent being produces agreeable works, because the inner voice has concern for all and not just thyself. The benevolent being enjoys the order and tranquility of his own breast, and rejoices in the prosperity of his fellow brethren , which means he to can prosper. The Benevolent being opens not his ear to slander; The faults and failings of men gives pain to his heart being a part of the All. We are All one family and if I hurt you then I also hurt myself. The Benevolent being desires to do good and reacheth out for the occasions thereof; in removing the difficulty of another, he Relieveth Himself. From the depths of his mind , he overstands in his desire the happiness of all Humanity; and from the generosity of his heart , he strives to promote it. He acknowledgethe his obligation with cheerfulness, looketh on all humanity with love and esteem. Happy is the man who hath sown in his breast the seeds of Benevolence; the produce thereof shall be mercy and love. From the fountain of his heart shall rise rivers of goodness; and the streams shall overflow, for the benefit of all of humanity. He assisteth the poor in their troubles; he rejoiceth in furthering the prosperity of all men. He censureth not his neighbor; he believeth not the character assassinations of envy and malevolence; neither repeats he their slanders. He forgiveth the injuries of men and wipeth them from his remembrance. The griefs and anxieties of men excite his compassion, he endeavoreth to alleviate the weight of their misfortunes, and the pleasure of success rewardeth his labor. He promoteth in his neighborhood peace and good will. His name is repeated with praise and benedictions. Let us remember during these holidays and times that the greatest gift is to give the gift of service to one another. For in serving others we ultimately serve ourselves and all of humanity benefits.
