Greetings to all. I have been asked to put more information on this page, so here we go.
I was born and raised in Gary, IN, basically a suburb of Chicago. I graduated high school in `88 (yes, I have noticed some of the kids on here were born that year...almost makes me feel old). I attended Penn State that fall, playing basketball and majoring in engineering, but plans changed after my freshman year and my first CompSci class. I quickly changed majors and concentrated on CompSci as a mjor...although I didn`t concentrate on my studies enough. I left PSU finally in `92, working at home for a school year. In `93, I got another chance, this time at NW Missouri State in Maryville, MO. This opportunity was not wasted, for in `96, I graduated with a B.S. in CompSci, minor in Math, and a solid basketball career. Attempting to start a professional career in basketball, a knee injury slowed me enough that the dream had to be put on hold. I started working at my alma mater, then started `98 with a job at Oracle Corp. Next, I worked for Sybase Corp, and finally, my employment with Virtumundo, Inc. In August of 2002, I left Virtumundo, Inc., after 2.5 years as an accomplice to spam. (Email, not the psuedo-meat) I moved on to VMI, an ad agency in Kansas City, then to Birch Telecom, a regional telephone company. Currently, I am in West Texas working for an oil company. I have 2 daughters, Jaylynn and Brianna. They are the most amazing people I know, just ready to learn everything the world has to offer. I`ll keep that to only the useful things, though. ;-) Fortunately, I get to see them often. At this time, I am single with a lot of good friends, but no special one. I`m sure God will bring her in His own time, but it`s hard waiting for that. However, I will be patient..I think. ;-) Just some facts about me: height: 6`9 weight: 325 and dropping (working out) musical likes: r&b, rap, jazz, reggae movie likes: Anything with a good plot (and many comedies) Currently in the CD changer: Musiq, Jill Scott, Vivian Green, Kem, The Roots, Digital Underground, R&B oldies Good book suggestion: Liar`s Game by Jerome Dickey - nice to see a book written from a male`s point of view with realistic characters instead of the man always being wrong and the woman always being right and hurt by said man. It doesn`t happen that way most times, no matter what women say. By the way, why isn`t this book being made into a movie? That`s all I can think of right now. If there`s anything else you`d like to know, or anything you`d like to share, drop me a note or an email to rick@dormir.org. And, if you feel like it, sign the guestbook. No worries, though. ;-) Peace and love favorite pages |
