Wow! It's been a minute since I last visited here! Well, my thoughts today are random. It is February 3, 2009. Change has come to America. Hmm, now what? What does having an African American President really mean to black america. Now that all the goose bumps are gone and the speeches are recorded - where do we go from here. It's funny how hope suddenly turns to wishing then despair.

I Voted!

I'm not sure what it is about this primary election that is occuring in Texas. I live in Houston and can honestly say I've never voted in a primary. I've voted in most elections just not a primary. I guess it never mattered much to me. I've heard all my life that picking a candidate is just picking the lesser of 2 evils. They are all dirty in one way or another.

It's A New Year!

Well a new year is here. Actually, as I am typing this it is February 25th. Ok, I'm a little late with this, but better late than never. Life is good for me as I really can not complain. I am on a mission to be more healthy this year but did not make a resolution. Just something that I will incorporate without all the hoopla that accompanies a resolution.
