I feel more like the me I want to be now than I did before I got to this point in my life. Long an adult, but still an incorrigibly curious child...though now, I hope, mostly a wiser one. I probably have too much education and experience ever to tone that down much, and seem increasingly to have even less interest in conventional or material things than in my roarin' 20's...Like to think I'm an aesthete, athlete, artist, agitator, adventurer, educator, entertainer, intellect, intuitionist, historian, hipster, slickster, samaritan, spirit child, and when appropriate, a reticent refusenik. Dislike "you should do xyz .." and try to believe in "I could do zyx..." I'm moving further from lamenting my failures, my deviation from the expectations of my upbringing, and my own misguided insecurities, and just seek personal peace by somehow soulfully, if not stupendously, contributing to the planet's welfare.
