Greetings Brothers and Sisters Well, it`s been awhile now. I`ve made a few good friends, had some fun, and learned a lot - mostly about people and their reactions to seemingly simple things. It`s amazing how a trivial situation causes such a wide variety of responses, but that`s what makes life interesting. Some of the best times I`ve ever had have been sitting at a card table. I love all kinds of puzzles and games. I play online occasionally, but it`s so much better to get together with a group of friends so you can talk the talk that goes along with the game. I believe that reading and music are both essential to life. I will read most anything but I especially enjoy black novels, medical and detective stories, and of course anything Star Trek. I like most kinds of music but I am partial to "old soul". And I absolutely love any and everything by Luther Vandross. For every emotion I`ve ever experienced, Luther has a song that expresses it. July 1, 2005 From today on there will always be something missing in my life, but I know you are now singing with the angels. Rest in Peace Luther. You will always be missed. On the subject of love: A long time ago I decided that I needed to take some time to develop and get to know myself, and it is an ongoing process that will continue for the rest of my life. There have been some rough spots along the way, but I have finally learned to like being by myself. Most days, I enjoy my own company. I believe this is the essential first step before finding true love. I know that when my soulmate comes along our spirits will recognize each other and events will unfold as God intends. This is not to say that I don`t get lonely, because I do. I truly hope he will come into my life sooner rather than later, but I much prefer to wait patiently for the right one instead of rushing into a mistake. Been there, done that, and I`ve seen too many women do that just because they don`t want to be alone. It always ends up badly, and I have no intention of being in that situation again.ÂÂ&n bsp; Obviously I have reposted my picture. No offense meant to the normal and decent folks out there, but this does not mean I`m looking for lewd comments or suggestions. (I am amazed at what the sight of a little cleavage does to some people.) I am always interested in intelligent mature conversation on a variety of subjects, but sex is not one of them - especially if you are so shallow that you think a person`s looks are more important than their heart and mind. I understand that folks want to be able to see who they`re chatting with, and most people also have specific likes and dislikes, but please show some respect... to me and to yourself.
