In life you come across many different people who continue to
raise eyebrows and once again I've stumbled upon a wonderful
group of people who fight for a great cause everyday of their lives.
My friend and co-worker was diagnosed with
cancer, and his wife who is also a co-worker decided to join
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (TEAM IN TRAINING) to
help raise money for research and support the cause. Members
of Team in Training participate in hundreds of events all over the
world every year while raising money and awareness for cancer
research. I decided to run in the Walt Disney World Marathon on
Jan. 8, 2007 as part of my sponsorship and I raised
over $2500 for cancer research.
Until this I hadn't known anyone who was diagnosed
with this terrible disease and now I know many who have beat it
and are living their lives to help others..

Here is a poem I thought you`d Like.

It`s called "MY BROTHER"



Turns my stomach and blows my mind when I here these words come from my own kind.

"What`s Up Niggr"

Everyday that passes,everywhere I go young brothers act as if they don`t know about the history.

"What`s Up Niggr"

Ain't no mystery that whip was cracked across your back, but I still hear brothers say,

"What`s Up Niggr"

As if they don`t know about hanging from a tree, being shi*t on and pissed on for all to see.

Like that really struck fear Well, dig this brothers we all still here!!

Despite their meetings in the night

The slave shack in the field propositioning our sisters so they could cop a feel of the greatness and I just hate this.
This feeling that cringes in my gut when I hear brothers say as they strut,

"What`s Up Niggr"

Damn kid!!! When you gonna learn? How you were called a niggr while they tortured and burned
their fiery cross of hate and it ain't too late my brother to start respecting yourself and each other,
but you seem to be comfortable calling me this. This degrading word that`s meant as a diss.

Like those old as*s descriptions SAMBO? and BOY? You think calling me a NIGGR brings me joy?

It hurts me, it shames me, and it makes me mad.
How you don`t seem to realize just how sad it is to be referred to as if I`m not standing in front of you.

A NIGGR? Is that all I am?

A NIGGR? Is that what you see me as?

A NIGGR? Is that who you are?

A NIGGR?

Does it make you feel bigger when you pull the trigger?
Just another job for another gravedigger to bury a brother unknown without a name, another niggr they tried to tame.
Well a niggr is as a niggr does and a niggr with a bullet in his head is a niggr that never was.

We`ve got to stop the madness and not be so blind, dig the tricks while we still have time.
Walk with pride and remember those who were called a niggr as they took blows, and survived
(and if not for them would we be alive??)

So wake up now and stop referring to me as less than a man.
So check yourself on this very thing cause ain't no niggr can be no king,
and in the future when greeting me or another Keep it real, like

"WHAT"S UP MY BROTHER"....

of my brothas andsistahs

use or wear this symbol but

when asked don`tknow it`s

meaning or origin.. I wear

it daily so I can understand

how some people feel...

ANKH

The ankh was the Egyptian

cross of life, representing

the union of male and

female symbols:

a female oval

surmounting a male cross.

It`s other name

was Key Of The Nile, because

the sacred marriage between

Godand Goddess was supposed

to take place at the source

of the nile each year before

the flood. Egyptians regarded

the ankh as a universal

life charm. In Hieroglyphics,

the ankh stood simply for the word "LIFE".

US Army Airborne at Ft. Bragg,N.C.





----JUMPMASTER----Playing Soldier was nice for a while but like most things it got old. I`ve been to Italy, Panama, Costa Rica, Korea, Haiti, Egypt, Bermuda, and Israel.I spent most of my military career at Ft. Bragg, N.C. I don`t have any children nor do I drink, smoke, or use drugs.
