Born and raised in the gang-infested neighborhoods on Chicago's South Side, Hip Hop recording artist, Chi City, grew up turning the negative images around him into moving street narratives. As a kid, it was nearly impossible for him to escape the evil trappings of his hood. Influenced by seeing someone as young as Lil Bow Wow on TV, the mind of a lyrical genius was sparked at the age of 11. By the age of 16, Chi City was already making a name for himself across Chicago from freestyle battles to talent shows. Other than being an artist himself, Chi City is also a recording engineer who has recorded over 200 artists across the Midwest. Since the age of 17, Chi City has had his own recording studio and was earning money by ghostwriting for other local artists and helping artists market and promote mix-tapes which he produced himself. As time passed, the ambitious entrepreneur started his own entertainment company, O.M.O (On My Own) Entertainment, and began to take his destiny into his own hands.
