Allstate is proud to announce the winner of the 2009 Allstate® “Be Reel” Film Contest.

The winner is Travis Dent for his short film, The Broken Sole. As Grand Prize Winner, Travis received $5,000, traveled as a special guest of Allstate to the American Black Film Festival in Miami and won a mentoring session with ABFF founder, Jeff Friday. Congratulations, Travis!

Did you see the winning film from the 2007 Allstate Be Reel contest? It was a short film titled "Give Along the Way"? I love the quote "kids have to see a future to have one". The narrator is letting us know that we can't wait until we've made it to be active in your community. Otherwise, our children may never see the positive images that they need.
