I consider myself a
lifetime professor because I use my life experiences as a lesson
and make examples out of it for my future. I believe in sharing
knowledge and not sheltering it. I am a Black male and if you are
in the least bit conscious of this society, you`d understand life
ain`t easy. I grew up in a neighborhood that did not carry the
middle class label. To some it was considered a ghetto, so I may be
deemed as a ghetto professor. I know that the academic and
economical advancement of the people I most resemble is not always
in the best interest of the `TEACHERS`. I have recognized that the
only way that Black and Hispanic people, the people that I
resemble, will arrive is to reach into the hearts of themselves and
release the hatred that we bestow upon one another and acknowledge
the separatism that has been taught to us and that we allow to
prevail. Recognize that deterioration of our families is a key
instrument for our race defamation. Jails are built for the
Black/Hispanic man.
