BLACKBORO is about maximizing ones talents as black people and not subscribing to the myth of "Potential".



The Internet has exploded on the scene in the past few years and no one Loves to have fun as much as I do, but I look at myself in the mold of what the Great W.E.B. Du Bois once said. Thier is a "Talented Tenth" that has to take the lead for the rest of the world. I believe that in the Black Community, that 90% of this "Talented Tenth" are right here on the Internet. I say join BLACKBORO in using your talents for the betterment of all Black people, so that you trully realize your Potential. Peace



Now, on the not so deep side. I`m a single parent of two Lovely children. One Daughter 26 years old (Pierra) and a Recent Graduate From Delaware St and has just made her fahter so Happy. My daughter has lived with me since she was 8 months old and to see her Getting that Diploma was just the sweetest day for me.. One son 17 years old (Lanei) And My daughter gave me my first grand daguther Riri, I just love her to death



I`m A Very Big Philadelphia 76er`s Fan And Next year, we are going to Take it all. I really Hate those Lakers. And I`m An Even BIGGER EAGLES Fan, and just wish everyone in Philly get off of Donavon's back, wait until he's no longer our QB and see how much you will miss him. Well, now that Donavon is in D.C. we will see how we like our new QB

And there if the Sixers Couldn`t Win the Title, I`m just Glad as Hell Those Damn Lakers Didn`t Win. Be a True Fan orDon`t be a Fan at All.When the Sixers were like the Worst team in the league about 5 years ago, they Were still MY TEAM. And always My Team. And I also Hate the Cowboys and Redskins, so If your down with any of those teams I Cuuld give a %&*#!!



I`m 46 and never married, the true reason, is I have not found the one person the Lord has planed for me to share this wonderful life with. I think She is About to walk into my Life at any Moment Now, so I`ll be Ready when she Appears.



I see a lot of people saying what They Want in a Man. Well this is Exactly what I want in a Woman, I want A Friend. Anything else that follows will just be the Bonus. I just think some women are going a little over board with the attitude that they want the READY MADE MAN.



So Be my friend and I`m sure if things fall in place, we can Move foward to a Better Place.







The music I feel the most is Hip-Hop music. Most women seen surprised by my choice when they meet me, but I`m a true Hip-Hop fan. I`m really feeling Jay-Z, He Has more Talent than any Rapper EVER. Maybe Rakim was a close Second, but All you Ladies that are Tupac Fans, He was OK as a Rapper Nothing More, Get Over it. Actually he was a Great Poet but his Rap skills were just So so. AND I HATE NELLYand now that I'm down south, I HATE all this garbagge southern style Lil Jon mess, That`s Not Rap, it`s RADIO RAP and it Stinks!! ! So If you ever see me in the Club and It`s Getting Hot in Here comes On, NO!!!!! I Don`t Want to Dance LOL. 50cents is the flavor of the Month right now, but He`s just an OK rapper Also Lil Wayne actually can Flow and so can Luda. And I don`t even know what the Hell the Lil Jon stuff is LOL

Oh, and I can`t forget my Girl Mary J. Blige, I Love that Girl. I just saw her in concert down here in Charlotte and that makes the 6th time I've seen her and she get's better and better. And her Share my World Album is My Favorite Album of All Times Period. Here`s a Big Hint for you Ladies, Invite a Brother over for dinner and if Have that Album Playing and You Get 20 Bonus Points :)





Here is a book I recommend: Race Matters, by the very bright and insightful Cornell West. Don`t sleep on Cornell. Another good one is "Don`t Believe the Hype" by Farai Chideya, a Young Black Sister that could use some support. And check out this New book, it`s B-More Careful. There are a Few Of these types books out now, they are interesting to say the least.



I have one nickname: Smokey, they call me that in Willingboro and Orangeburg, SC at South Carolina State College, it`s University now, but in1984 it was College and I`m a proud Alumnus and a Bulldog at heart.



My only Heros have beenMy Parents the now Deceased Willie and his beautiful wife Onedia ( I Love you Mom and Dad) And, My mother is still Living and Doing Just Great, she is the One I get these Great Genes from.
