Peace and Blessings and "To Your Health" First of all I have to
give all honor and praise to the Most High and His Anointed and the
Wondrous Community He has raised up that is holdiing it down in the
Holy Land, my Brothers and Sisters of the African Hebrew Israelite
Community, the largest group of African Americans to repatriate to
the Holy Land in History! We Made it! Not only are they back in the
Land, they are probably the largest Blak Vegan Community on the
Planet - Big Respect to them! I'm a Brotha who has been blessed to
cook at and learn at the feet of some of the best food preparers on
the planet; the Brothers and Sisters of Soul Vegetarian/Everlasting
Life Restaurants in Washington DC and Maryland. Thats right, "Soul"
and Vegetarian" in the same sentence. Talk about a concept finally
coming together? Thats it! Now about that "chef" thing... I hate
the term because when people see that word they think of "french
chefs' which are the basis for most western/european cooking -
which basically means animal products including fish and fowl.
Basically cooking and eating anything that will stay still long
enough to get into the pan. I'm not a chef, I'm a cook, a Divine
Natural Cook if you will. My diet and and cusine and whole
perspective on food comes from Genesis 1:29 (look it up you church
going folks). That was the Creator's ultimate diet - vegan,
probably raw vegan, and definitely violence free. Food is one of
the most ultimate expressions of love and nurturing - and how best
to love and nurture folk but with a living and cruelty free diet?
Soul Food? Nawww. not the way its been defined for the last 400
plus years. Real Soul Food doesn't just serve the taste buds, but
the body, Soul and Spirit! You can tell I'm pretty passionate about
food - in the right way. Because I've made it my personal mission
to begin to educate our people on how to truly "Eat to Live." I
won't bore ya'll with stats about obesity and cancer etc... I will
instead invite you to taste my food whenever you come into the DC
MD VA area. I'm looking to link up with everyone else on here who
is vegan like me, vegetarian, concious and/or at least veg curious.
Just let me give you a try of some "living cuisine" and we'll see
what happens! When I'm not obsessing about food, I'm also into
digital photography, videography, african/african diasporic history
politics and social/spiritual issues. I'm a writer, editor (both
copy and video) by trade and I'm always looking to support our
people whenever the cause is Afro/Spiritual Centric and positive.
Brotha got mad skills and is committed to using them in the service
of The Most High and His People! Hit me up when you get the chance,
