You know what gets me? Why do men have to play so many games. It's as if it doesn't pay to be straightforward and honest with them, because your honesty is used against you in the end. I would much rather a man say, "I think you're nice, but I really just want sex." That way, you would know where he's coming from. But to go through all of the hard work of pretending that he is interested in a relationship and then, when you are all into him, you realize all he wanted was sex.

In 1996, I wrote a letter to God outlining what I wanted to accomplish by the end of that school year. At the end of the list was meeting the man I would marry. I graduated in 1999 with no man and no prospects.
