...A little about me...I am 53 yrs old....Black woman, mother of 3 adult children, Ex-wife to my best friend, daughter to a BEAUTIFUL Black woman named Celeste, who showed me how to do this life as a mortal woman, with faith, dignity, self awareness & humility. Basic Facts: I pray that my name be written in The Book of LIfe, and that on the day of my judgement, Jesus Christ stands as my Attorney before his Father. I pray, as I am judged for all the sin committed in this life, Jesus will say to the Father, "Paid in full". Amen....I am an accountant who was blessed to work at a juvenile boys facility for over 27 years. This exposure opened my eyes to the needs of our people, the need to reach out to our young black men in particular. So often I see & hear us say much about the THUGS of our community, but seldom do I see us reaching out to those very ones in an attempt to show them a different direction. I also work with Seniors in my community, because their need is great! They are the ones who have paved the way for us, yet we watch them dwindle away, sometimes leaving this world without the return of the love they gave so graciously. I encourage ALL....Mentor a youth, become a genuine, loving foster parent, adopt a child who wants nothing more than a home & family to call their own...Help the senior citizen in your neighborhood clean their yard, wash windows, paint, do housework...they are not as able as they once were, and sometimes pride and discouragement keep them from reaching out for the help they truly need. I won`t lie and I don`t want you to have any unrealistic expectations. I`m thick (14/16), soft & Brwn. I love the essence of family and close friends. I value all my blessings, and the tough lessons in life. Music & smiling are my greatest hobbies. So if you decide to start up a convo...know your jazz, and bring it with a smile! :-)

A book I`d recommend: ANYTHING by Maya Angelou, The Stand (Stephen King), Left Behind...all 13 books..."The Glorious Appearing" simply blew me away! Knowing (Rosalyn McMillian), Ancient Futures (Wayne Chandler), A Piece of Cake (Cupcake Brown) etc, just read a good book! :-)
The funniest movie I`ve seen recently: Kinda like DRAMA`s more than comedy...so :-)

Some of my heroes: My Ma`... She`s my best friend, my best example, and my greatest gift. My Aunt, Grace... (my Taurean twin of the soul). My former Administrator, who, when I left our agency, at the age of 75, still worked 40hrs a week, and was just as sharp as the day I met her! LOL
A recent accomplishment I am proud of: I followed my heart and freed myself to go on a journey that I have no way of understanding as yet, but feel myself growing stronger everyday. The unknown can be a scary place sometimes, but I decided to step out on faith, and see what the next half of this journey holds for me.
One reason my friends like me: I`m a good listener, I speak from my heart, I treasure and appreciate and keep the things they choose to share with me. When we disagree, they know I`m straight to the point, but compassionate and fair.
CREATIVITY
It is the invisible force behind all things seen. The innate ability of a living element to recreate itself. The spiritual faculty of potentiality. The ability of human beings to bring forth onto the physical/visible level that which is conceived at the mental level (consciously or unconsciously)and the emotional level.
I am the CREATIVE power of theDivine at work.
I choose to be an expression of good, of peace, of joy and abundance.
The Divine thinks by means of me.
My thoughts are clear.
The Divine expresses Itself in my heart.
My heart is open to the goodness of life.
The Divine CREATES, heals, restores, and builds through every action I take.
My eyes, ears, hands, and feet are instruments of the Divine.
Today, I rejoice in advance for all the good I am CREATING through right thinking, an open, loving heart, and Divine right action.
