About me:


Name's Camia. Some call me Camille, Camilla, Camia or Camay.

My day usually goes well and I don't like complaining much. Hope you're having a good day too.=]

Single, open to friends but OFF the market.

From the DC area but overseas currently and hope to continue moving around the world. Was planning to move to Brooklyn, NY soon, but not too sure if those plans will push through. I might end up moving somewhere random like Mexico just for the experience.

I don't know when I'll be in the US next but I do come and go spontaneously.

I work in the health care field.


Have many aces, few diamonds.

Certainly prefer quality over quantity.

I'm very laid back when it comes to what I do for fun. You won't find me "wilding" out in the clubs. I'd rather have some drinks over good music and politic with my family/friends, meet interesting people from all walks of life, travel the world, explore different cultures, learn new things.

I wish people would switch it up once in a while.....you know...dream a little more, reach a little higher and believe a little more.

Where I grew up, I saw a little too much violence and pain all around me and the ones I love. All I want is a brighter future for the next generation after mine.

I love Tupac Shakur as much as I enjoy Onyx, Mobb Deep, Scarface, Geto Boys, Sade, Rakim, Nina Simone and Mozart. It just feels really good to step outside the box sometimes.

Really though, an even better feeling is having real friends and family in your life through thick and thin.

Congratulations, Barack Obama and Joe Biden!!! =]

...And congratulations to all of us who made our dreams come true on the historical November 4, 2008 Presidential elections. We did half the job....Now the other half needs all of us to continue with that same spirit we had during the campaigns to help our President fulfill his promises.


Get involved in your communities...open the door for an elderly woman struggling with her groceries...teach your children how to love by loving them unconditionally....


Seemingly little things like these go a long way.


They unite strangers.


They annihilate walls of oppression.

Remember....a few little ripples in the sea is all it takes to start an undeniable current.

In layman's terms:
Instead of complaining, get your @ss up and out and do something. Invent a longer lasting lightbulb, find an instant cure for cancer, help each other out.
Make whatever it is you do, count for something good.
