My heart beats to a lonely drum,
A somber rhythm that s only heard by one
A song laced with sadness
Underlined with grief
And entrapped by darkness
Every now and then it skips a beat
Building a bridge and creating a new melody
Pushing the blood through my veins in a new way
Making me feel whole heartedly
Letting me know that love is ok
My heart shouts loud with a deafening roar
It longs to be joined, it needs a new cure
It can t keep up the beat anymore
So I pause for a second and let my heart rest, or just catch its breath
That s when I hear a new beat
One I don t recognize, one I can t see
But that beat embraces me
Sneaks up from behind and surrounds me
I realize I love this sound almost as much as I love my own
I love it too much to leave it alone
So I watch the beat enter me
Seep though my pores and travel through my hearts main door
So my hearts not sad anymore
It has a new beat, ready to beadded to the score

What I look for

I`ve come to realize that what I`m looking for is all in my mind.
The man I want has become harder to find,
I can`t tell which face he hides behind.
My heart is lost, confused, broken and abused.
But I`m still looking for you.
Searching for the man who dares to hold my hand.
The man that looks into my eyes and sees through my soul.
The man that doesn`t meet, but exceeds my mold.
But is he real?



Aight I keep getting asked what I look for in a man so here goes.. First and foremost he has to be honest. I`m a truthful person so I expect the same from whom ever I deal with be it friends or otherwise.He has to know what he wants and not be afraid to verbalize his desires.He isn`t judgmental and he knows how to make me laugh. He knows how to put it down, leave me begging for more but he never leaves me thirsty. As far as looks, I don`t have a "type" but he has to be a least a foot taller than me. That`s it for the most part.
