I was born in Detroit on May 19, 1966. I was partially raised here until I was 16. Then I moved to California. The move was initiated to improve my behavior, which had begun to deteriorate after my mother passed away when I was 15. I graduated with a GED, and then I went to M.T.I. Business College and graduated receiving my certicate of completion.
I got married in 1992 and six months later my life began to fall apart. I was arrested for selling cocaine and served 2 years in the California State Penitentiary. I personally hate the fact that I ever sold drugs and hurt so many people. But I thank God emmensely for sending me to the penitentiary; because it was a lesson very well taught and very well learned. The whole time, I maintained a positive attitude about my life after prison; and praised my God for bringing me to the point where my life would really change for the better. After serving time, I returned to Detroit and began to pick up the pieces. Unfortunately my marriage didn`t survive the 2 1/2 years worth of changes she and I had made within ourselves while I was in the pen and she was in the army. You then had two brand new people trying to get back together and call each other husband and wife, who didn`t know each other anymore. It didn`t work. So I am a single father, with three children. I reside on the west side of Detroit. But there is my daughter "Annette (22)", who has been living out here in Detroit with me, since I came home in "95". She now lives on her own. My son "Gregory (20)", who lives with his mother (my ex-wife). And then my Jr. who we call "D.J. (7)", who lives with his mother, who is my ex. You can stick a fork in me. I done. (LOL) Don`t get me wrong. I love my children with every single thing in me. I literally could not imagine my life without them in it. I`m just not making anymore. (LOL) My daughter Annette has two little boys. "Spencer (5)" and "Malik (3). But don`t get it twisted; I`m still a tenderoni. (smile) And as you should know, tenderoni`s can`t be granddaddies. So I am in deed a G-daddy. (LOL)
I have been professionally dancing exotically off and on for 14 years. My partner Mr. Shannon and I formed a group by the name of "The Royal Family". I don't do clubs anymore. But I periodically do private parties only now. I also periodically instruct ballroom and hustle lessons at different clubs; as well as do private lessons. So I can come to you or you can come and learn in studio. I teach ballroom, hustle, Chicago step, hip hop, and exotic dancing. The clubs I'm currently teaching hustles are Club Celebrity on Plymoth, 3 blocks west of Shaefer, on tuesdays from 9pm to 11pm; Gracie's Lounge on Houstong Whittier, 2 blocks west of Hayes, on thursdays from 8pm to 11pm; Lucky's on Grand River off of Telegraph, on fridays from 6pm to 9pm; and at the Elysium, downtown on Shelby off Congress, for "Old School Sunday" starting at 8pm every sunday. Old school sunday is broadcasted at 8pm every sunday on WJLB FM98, hosted by Cheron, with Kim James on the 1s and 2s. So if you can't make it down there, you can still turn us on. But of course the party doesn't stop after the lessons are over. So come out and get your drink on, your eat on, your lesson on, and your party on. My hobbies include basketball, working out, and I`ve been involved in the martial arts for the majority of my life. I`ve been affiliated in all facets of the entertainment business. I model, sing, dance, and act. I enjoy going out to dance. I don`t drink or smoke. Just like 7up; never had it, never will.
Periodically, throughout my life, I`ve assisted my grandmother, who is widely known as "Mother Waddles", as she cared for the poor in the community and throughout the world, with food, clothing, and shelter. She did this work for almost 50 years until she passed away in July of 2001 at the age of 88. Along with my family, we will make sure that her work is perpetual.
As often as possible, I go to different high Schools and give speeches to the students; telling them about the mistakes I`ve made and how they can do better by learning from my experiences. My emphasis is for them to use this knowledge and not make the same costly mistakes I`ve made.
