Based out of Newark, N.J. I'm pretty much some of & none of what you would expect of an artist these days, I'm a mix of a lil old school 90's feel with a healthy dose of "contemporary" production. The music I/we make does not really fall into one category (or atleast not track for track) because my life experience is diverse. 1st off Im a Revolutionary & alot of people think that means I DONT like white folks & they couldnt be MORE wrong! This only means I'm not a big fan of the government OR the status quo who I FEEL conspire to keep the BULK of the worlds wealth in the hands of a select few (there are ALL kinds & colors of people who do this), also being a (black) Panther means that I wish to live my life righteous & I want to protect, educate, & nurture my people. 2nd-ly, I am definitely oldschool hip hop I want ALL who read this to know that I am in STAUNCH protest of the radio because for one, it NEVER plays anything I want to hear. Just a bunch of re-hashed cardbord cut-outs who sound the same to me. I want illiteration, metaphor, simile, & all other forms of wordplay MINUS the constant destructive refferences to Drugs, Guns, Gangs, & our Women. I just want raw assed lyrics (prefferably with some kind of substance or message) & tight production (never dissin the south but) I'm from the EAST coast & just a lil burnt out on the crunk strings already (its all we get here anymore it seems). Im into cats like: LITTLE BROTHER, MOS-DEF, TALIB KWELI, HI-TEK, DE LA SOUL, ERYKAH BADU, COMMON, BLACK MOON, SMIFF N WESSON, EVAJRUNK (thats me), RAWNAVY (thats us), MRM (my man), ASELF (my other man), CATAZTRO (my other other man), BLACK MILK, ROYCE DA 5-9, XZIBIT, THE ROOTS, KRS-ONE, J-DILLA (rest in peace), SLUMVILLAGE, FATIGUE (my other other other man) DION, JILL SCOTT, ANGIE STONE, & HELTAH SKELTAH to name a few, & I hardly get that on the box anymore! TWO: tha radio is just stale payola taking BULLSH*T! Lastly I'm from some of the most "destructive" streets a youth could ever come up in & there are a a few songs that may give you the feeling that im angry but I promise you this: I WILL NEVER MAKE MUSIC GLORIFYING THE BULL THAT MAKES MY PEOPLE LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF DRUG DEALIN, JEWELRY WEARIN, GANGBANGING, DUMMIES!!!!
