The Mask

When I look in the mirror at the person I see, sometimes I wonder who is that looking at me?

She putson a smile before facing the day, though her heart may feel heavy she pushes her cares out of the way.

In her eyes there`s a sparkle on her brow not a frown, and when she`s ready to go she`s up, never down.

There`s no sign of troubleon the MASK that she wears, if I didn`t know her I`d think she hadn`ta care.

But under the MASK there`s lost dreams and some pain, and a deep well of strength that fills again and again.

Most never look deeper than the mask she wears, what they see on the surface is all they care.

But, oh what they`re missing by not lifting the mask, the surface is never the place one should bask.

The core of a person is what you must know, if you look deep inside

the real self will show.

The privilege of knowing a person that deep, is truly a treasure

filledwith memories tokeep.

Most people know heartache & have a story to tell, but they`re wearing a mask to cover their hell.

Adversity met and risen above, fills a person with depth and teaches great love.

So, don`t take for granted just what you see, look under the mask, that`s where the real person will be.

(by the way , more pictures at the bottom of the page, oooo yes , even a picture of me when i was just a wee lil` lad , age 2 , LOL)
I am a person who is a big kid at heart, I love to have fun and enjoy life.

I was born in Minneapolis, MN and grew up in South Dakota where i learned alot about my Native American roots through living with the Lakota Tribe (Pine Ridge rez) there It was an experience i will never forget, I had lived in Upstate NY while I attended college, I have a degree in Sports Medicine/Orthopedics, a degree in Accounting, a degree in Business Man. and a 2 year degree in Vet. Med.

I have 5 children whom I love dearly, they give me an excuse to be silly.Along with my 6th child , my pet wolf ;) (Yes i have a pet wolf 100% LOL)But not to worry i have a permit for him LOL. The wolf is my favorite animal, because they have a "Family Value", they stick together, they are noble, brave, cunning, intelligent, and are very beautiful. I love to read poetry as well as write it,and I am a big sports nut,(A DIEHARD VIKINGS,AND KNICKS FAN, OO BEING I AM ORIGINALLY FROM MINNESOTA, I AM ALSO PARTIAL TO THE TIMBERWOLVES ) I am a hopeless romantic (Smile).
ok,(25MAY) i am 39 years old, (smile), i stand a towering 5`2 , i am 120 (smile)
First i need to ask a question : does anyone have morals, values and standards in this world anymore?
Or is everything about sex, sex, sex? Are the days of romance and chivalry over? Its like no one knows how to love anymore...Sad...

If all you are about is sex, please do not even wasteyour time with me. OOOOOOO yes, that is one of my pet peeves, people who always talk about sex when you first meet them, all they want to do is tell you what they want to do to you in bed.. I am tired of that..Try and talk with me, geesh, at least pretend your interested in getting to know a person still, you know , like how it used to be back in the day.. (smile).... ok , enough about that ..
People ask me what i look for in a man, well let me answer that question for you:
1)I need you to be spiritual,
2)intelligent (nothing worse then a man who can not have an intelligent conversation)
3)You must LOVE kids
4)sincere
5)honest
6)caring
7)loving
8)kind hearted
9)confident
10)a great since of humor, you must love to have fun and laugh, i am always laughing.
11)romantic.
is that enough for you (smile), the next question i am always asked is what do i like to do for fun..
Well to honestly answer that question, i can have fun doing anything, i make it fun, and it also depends on the company i am entertaining....
but... I do play video games (big kid), play pool, ride horses, I love the outdoors, i love a good movie, but i am the type of person who would rather stay at home make some dinner, rent some movies, things like that.... if i do go out, it is not to any club, i do not frequent clubs, i just do not like them, (been there done that). I am a romantic, so i love to do romantic things, so i know your asking what is romantic to me? (smile) again i must answer , anything can be made romantic, any setting, but if i have to answer i will give an example: two of us , lets make some food and put it in a basket( maybe throw in a bottle of wine) and go to the park, around dusk to see the sunset, lay a blanket down on the grass, and cuddle looking at the sunset together. When the sun goes down, now it is the stars, mmmmm Now that is romantic to me........ anyway enough of that... I also get asked what i do for a living.. LOL.. I do many things, i do not "tight cast" myself into just one area, as they always say , "never put all your eggs in one basket" LOL.. I am a writer, i write poems, music, lyrics,(some you may have already heard on the airways (wink) i am private about that side of me, i do not want the attention, so i stay behind the scenes (smile), i play the violin and the piano as well... I am a Native American rights activist, as well as i work with the NAACP, i also fight for other animals besides humans LOL...... I help many people that cross my path, many children, i like to show them that there is hope in this dying world.. there is still much life, (smile).. I also work for two event management companies, i work for the NFL, and NCAA, all this on top of being a single parent (smile)... (smile) anymore questions, feel free to ask me (smile) oooooooo my favorite color is purple, and my favorite food is a toss up between Italian and sea food .....whether you care or not , i just thought i would throw that in there LOL (smile)
o yes, i am always asked what nationality i am , 75% Lakota, 25% African American . There you go (smile)
I am also a 10th degree Black Belt in Tai Chi, Jujitsu and Kenpo ;).. i also study Aikido, ninjitsu, and kobojitsu to name a few,I have been studying since i was 3 years old (WOW, 36 years LOL) (which helps keep me in shape, mind , body and soul). I won`t bore you with anything else(smile) have a wonderful day, and be safe and blessed, fore I believe we are all blessed.

"An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend

time with his fools." ----Ernest Hemingway

To my FRIENDS and FAMILY that were killed 9-11-`01, I love you all, I will miss you dearly.... I willsee you all in heaven.

ARIZONA

The devil wanted a place on earth

Sort of a summer home. A place to spend his vacation whenever he wanted to roam, so he picked out Arizona a place both wretched and rough. where the climate was to his liking and the cowboys hardened and tough. He dried up the streams in the canyons and ordered no rain to fall. He dried up the lakesin the valleys, than baked and scorched it all. Then over his barren desert

he transplanted shrubs from hell.

The cactus, thistle and %#&@$!ly pear,

The climate suited them well. Now, the home was much to his liking,

But animal life, he had none. So he created crawling creatures, that all mankind would shun. First he made the Rattlesnake with its forked poisonous tongue; taught it to strike and rattle & how to swallow its young. Then he made scorpions and lizards, and the ugly old horned toad He placed spiders of every description Under the rocks by the side of the road .Then he ordered the sun to shine hotter, Hotter and hotter still ,Until even the cactus wilted, and the old horned toad looked ill, Then he gazed on his earthly kingdom, as any creator would
He chuckled a little up his sleeve, and admitted it was good
Twas summer now and the devil, Lay by a %#&@$!ly pear to rest
The sweat rolled off his swarthy brow, so he took off his coat and vest. "By golly", he finally panted, "I did my job too well"
I`m going back where I came from, Arizona is hotter than Hell!" HA HA HA LOL(smile)
