Ok, so this is what I know: we are all
uniquely created by our creator to walk our own unique paths. For
me, along with my career and the wonderful circle of people who
love me, that unique path involves someone who gets me. I trust
that regardless of what I do (or don't do) that
someone's uniquely created path will cross
mine.
When it does, I believe we will fall
easily into the rhythm of the path we're meant to travel together.
He will be drawn to all the uniquely created things that
make me the uniquely difficult, driven, loving, funny,
pain in the butt that I am.
This is me at my most optimistic and
disheartened.
Now, here's what you
should know about me:
1) As it says above, I
AM difficult... or at least that seems to be the current term for a
chick (or dude) who knows their own mind.
2) I'm a freelance
writer and magazine editor. I know this is the internet, but c'mon,
y'all! No, we cannot get to "no each other" better and we sure as
H*** can't "conversate."
3) I'm not interested in
dating anyone under the age of 26 or over the age of 36. That
doesn't mean we can't be friends. And that doesn't mean I think
every man on this earth wants me. It simply means that if YOU just
happen to be a dude who's interested in hollering... you should be
between the ages of 26 and 36! =)
4) Since the topic of my
conceit has been covered: I'm also NOT interested in dating anyone
who is not close enough or does not have the means to make sure
I'll see him on a weekly basis. (And I hate to be an %#&@$!, but
I'm an immigrant my da~n self! So I can't help ANYONE with their
immigration status.
5) I'm a different type of
chick, man! I know that's a very vague statement, but I can't
really explain it beyond that. Just bring your A game, whether you
hit me up about business or pleasure. I truly believe that the
people you keep around you are not only a reflection of you, but a
determinant of who you become. Because of that, I am extremely
selective of the people I bring around me.
Oh, and if I say anything to
you that would lead you to think that I think I'm better than
you... that's probably you're own insecurity speaking. (Unless I
really am better than you! ha ha)... And fellas, if I say or do
anything that makes you think I hate men: it's not all men, just
YOUR wack %#&@$!.
Of course, this is simply my
caveat...
