The soul according to many, is the self-aware essence unique to each living being. It is thought to incorporate the inner essence of each living being, and to be the true basis for wisdom. Many believe that the soul is the unification of one's sense of indentity, considered to be immortal and to exist prior to incarnation. My being made with the outer shell of brown colored skin, hence the name: Colored Soul.

I have a great love for many of the arts. The wide variety of music I enjoy is extremely eclectic. I use to DJ as a hobby and I'm still a true ol' school house-head at heart. And yes, I still have my 1200s and a huge collection of vinyl!

I grew up during the historic evolution of Chicago House Music and enjoyed all the clubs that Ron, Farley and Frankie were spinin' the wax...

My additional joys from the arts include the appreciation of painting, drawing, photography, acting, writing and more.

I'm playful and try not to be too serious when there's no need, but be assured that when it's time to have a more serious nature, my demeanor will switch accordingly.

Can "real" friends be found on the Planet? Well, there's one lady who has shown me nothin' but the warmest friendship. She has been my big sis since the early beginnings of BP, when I went by my original name of Jusfriend1.
