The idea is the concept by which a thing is known. Therefore the concept by which a thing is known is the element of reality in a thing.

The things we see around us are the phenomenon of nature. They belong to the earthly realm. They are copies of their prototypes, the ideas and the noumena which dwell in the heavenly realm.

The ideas are real and perfect but the phenomenom are unreal and imperfect. It is the function of philosophy to enable the mind to rise above the contemplation of the visible copies of the ideas and advance to a knowlege of the ideas themselves.

To me this means:

We and everything around us are manifestations of Perfection. Our existence is a blessing in that, our minds afford us the ability to reach a higher level of Beauty.

I wrote this poem in a post and didn't want it to go to waste...


THAT DAY I KNEW, ...I could breathe you in

Exhale your glory, ...then breathe again

Touched you, my whole body, ...as I loose my breath

Take you, my uncertainty, ...to a lovely death

Stay you there, forever, ...my only request

Its a nice poem if I do say so my self but I must stress, I am NOT here to make a love connection. Sorry fellas...
