My basic philosophy on life:
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

I can't think of anything more beautiful than being an African-American woman. I love my community; our diversity in looks, features, music, comedy, opinions, food, spirituality and our history.

Most of all, I am still optimistic (cautiously) about our possibilities!
