First off, I would like to thank you, yes you, for taking the time out to view my profile and I hope that your visit is well to your liking. Well let's get this interview going shall we?
How Did I Get Here and Why am I Here Now? Well, I joined The Planet way back in 2000 when I was a junior in high school just to pass the time by. There wasn't much to do on BP back then (as many of you veterans may know) but design your page and chat (if you could get it to work) with folks. That everyday routine quickly became very stodgy and caused the user behind "DaGr8Wun_Y2TE" to abandon his keyboard and mouse. Then as the many years departed, I began to receive numerously harrassing emails in my personal account that begged me to update my profile. So I eventually gave in and came back to find that the Personal Page 2.0 was something else. So now I'm using this personal page here solely to market my musical career (Phorze) while meeting and networking with folks in the process.
What's the Scoop on My Music? 200% of my songs come directly from my heart; even the "silly" ones. I grew really tired and irritated by today's genre of music (not even sure what to call it because it sure isn't Hip Hop nor R&B) and began to make songs of my own. I've always been a very musically charged person; in fact, I can't get enough of it. I practically breathe it. I write, produce, and record my own material. Everything I write about I have experienced either directly or indirectly. So I guess you can say that my songs express small portions of my life. Other than the other two members of my former group and my homegirl Maria J, my Hip Hop influences are Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, KRS-One, Common, The Game, Snoop Dogg, as well as very few others. Sadly, none of the artists of today motivate me to do anything. With that being said, I can't even begin to tell you the last time I tuned into anyone's radio station. I was only on Blackplanet Music for about a month before I became the Artist Spotlight of the Week (6/7/2008 - 6/14/2008); so what does that tell you?
Who Is the Person Behind the Music? From an educational stand-point, I have a B.S. in Information Systems and a two-year in Information Technology/Networking. So yea, I'm a technology freak. However, my passion comes more out of programming. I love to create and decipher codes; hints the reason why I even joined Blackplanet in the first place. Is this an invitation for you to ask me to design your page? Absolutely not. That's not to be mean, it's just that I gave up that lifestyle a long time ago due to issues I've had in the past. I currently am enrolling into school once again to continue my education by obtaining a MBA. So yes ladies and gentlemen, this young man is very well pedantic and can assure that he is not a N.A.N. (Nothin' A$$ Ni66a). Aside from my erudition, I'm a thrill seeker. As my friends may already know, I have a "need for speed" so to speak. I have an undying love for cars; muscles and tuners to be exact. Don't get me wrong, I do love my exotics, but who the hell can afford one? Really? At one point my wheels were know across the underground racing circuit really well, right fam lol? I can't forget about my two-wheeled baby either. If you have seen a black and smoke grey GSX-1000 ripping up and down 95/295/495, 50, 66, 270, or what have you on one-wheel, more than likely it was probably me. Yes, I'm nuts, but "I love to go fast" as my friend Ricky Bobby would say. What more can I say? I'm always up for trying new things and don't think there's anything I won't do; well I won't bungee jump lol. I have my reasons haha ("So I'ma let you tie a rope around me and push me off a bridge? You must be out your Got damn mind! Let me do you! I'll do you! F that!" -D.L. Hughley). But I'm all about having fun nonetheless. Goal oriented? Yes...VERY. Though that quality is often shielded by my laid back, yet professional, attitude. Needless to say I am very easy to get along with. Anything else you want to know then you'll have to ask.
