Am I living a lie

Refusing to see the truth

Am I really so in love that I'm not willing to get over you

Or is it that I don't want you with anyone else

That I'm willing to cause myself all this stress

All the signs are there

All the clues I need

You already planted the seed

Of doubt and mistrust, not knowing what to believe

Really wanting to leave

But then something always draws me back

Disregarding the emotions you seem to lack

How did I let it come to this

But do I really need to go down the list

Is it my fault or yours

Or do we both need to step to the floor

Cut our losses and walk out the door

Accepting that maybe we just weren't meant

To be

Instead of closing our eyes refusing to see

All we seem to do is cause each other pain

And this is literally driving me insane

How can I love you and hate you too

Despise you for making me blue

Love you for making me smile

Adore you for you are part of my child

My mind and body are completely wore down

Begging me to let this go

Showing me that this is so

Completely

Pointless

Destroying me

And any lasting friendship that there might be

So I'm praying to God to give me strength

To go that extra length

To let my mind and body go free

And allow me to see

That you aren't who is meant for me
