.....point taken...so then enough said! So you already know not 2 come @ me with that bull@$%#! However, I could never run around like a solitary rat, sitting around, eating cheese, running scared, like I am not suppose to voice my opinion....not! It`s not going to happen. It`s a lot of people who isn`t cool with my strength. Unfortunately, that`s your problem and not mine. So until someone turns the lights out on this small planet I am here! However, I will send a warm hello to my Black Planet family, no, jacket, no umbrella, just a warm hello!

Yvonne & David
(A Double Funeral on July 9, 1998)

Of...they called her...bird...because they were talking French...And they wanted to be cute...though I still don t see how they got OF fro Oiseau...She was very tall...over six feet...but before women played basketball...and before there was women s volleyball...and actually before women were supposed to do anything...except women things like cook...and clean...and sew...and take care of some man...when she could find him.

Who knew the dreams...of too tall women...in too small villages...
In two small towns..there really was no life...after high school...all there could be was some William Inge view...of the Midwest and the prince...but life was no picnic...and no one could wait to see..who might come along.

But come along he did...nobody knows why...I thought he was a dancer...the records show he was an architect...and an artist...and to Yvonne...a prince.

Like out of some romantic novel...he stretched out his hand...and said come with me...she was only nineteen...and her mother and No...but friends said Don t be a fool...plus he was drop-dead gorgeous ...and with only the promise...of a great love for at least a little while...of a bird...flew away

Small towns laugh because that s all they know how to do...thinking...maybe even hoping...it would not work...but work it did...and love they did...and a marriage...and a home...and dogs...and forty years later...after college..her master s degree...her PhD...they were still together

On a stormy night...when the dogs were at the groomer s and like dog lovers everywhere..they were willing to brave the weather..to bring the babies home..only there was this standing water...and this tree...and that Rock Creek rising...and no way out of the car...and David probably reached over to unhook her belt...as the car slid on its side...and she got out but not up...and he was found in the car...and she was found in the creek...and what began when she was ninteen ended when she was fifty-nine...and the only reason we can accept it..is that they lived happily together...and now they have died together...and that s a sad story..but love is not always fun.

Riding The Night Train

Posted

As salaam Alaikum, again, grace & peace! Moreover, not really in a chatty mood tonight, and bleive me you will know it...just riding the wings of insomonia, all is quiet in the house tonight, my songbird Tory long asleep, and my five year old is chasing dreams. In addition, today wasn't all that bad still held captive to motor city dreams, riding the waves of the recession because that's life, trials and tribulations. However, we will survive, for Jannah is where I be at and Salat... (continue reading)
