Hello World!

All grown up, or something like that!

I can not believe the last time I was really an active member on here was back in 2007! That is really tripping me out! I read my message from back then and I was surprised at how much I've grown up. Life really dishes out alot of lessons once you're out in the real world. So much has change. I went through things I never saw myself enduring, but with prayer I was able to overvome those obsticles and move forward. Now I am more than estatic to be able to say I am literally on cloud NINE!!

After going through so many trials and tribulations these past two years of my life, GOD has decided to deliver me and finally put me in a position where I can see my path clearly. I was recently promoted at my job to Junior Mental Health Technician Supervisor and offered a seat on the Hospital's Environmental Safety Awareness committee! I am so excited to be a positive representative for the African American community, especially in a small, rural Southeast Alabama town!! God really does know how to show and prove.

This year is a year of powerful changes for me. In June, I will hopefully be re-enrolling in the nursing program to further my education in the medical feild.Although my ultimate goal is still to become a Geriatric Pychologist ( or hopefully PSYCIATRIST), I've decided to go ahead and start with the nursing program just to get myself on board because if I continue to procratinate, I will be in my 40s still trying to figure out where to start. Plus, I already have four years invested in working in a hospital setting under doctors and nurses as a ward clerk/CNA, so I've really given myself enough time to make sure this is something I really want to do. There are still may other careers I'm very interested in exploring (modleing, real estate, fashion design, and cosmetology), but as of right now, with the economy's poor status, I'm going to shoot for what I know will benefit me the most morally and financially.

Through all things bad, something good will reveal itself. The realization that life is what you make it has reveal itself to me. I was so busy trying to live the life I dreamed of that I failed to realize the type of hard work and dedication I had to submitt before recieving those blessing. Now I can honestly say I am ready to do what I have to do, no hand-outs or short cuts involved, to obtain the life I want.Let my journey begin:) Love "Y'all"!!
