A message to my beloved Jaime...
Loving you is like being on another plane, a plane beyond the realm of reality. When I was with you, nothing in this world mattered. You taught me what love is and I will never forget that. You opened up a part of my heart that I never knew existed and took my hand in exploration, dicovering new and uncharted lands in yours. Peace became me when I would drown in your pretty brown eyes. They contained a depth deeper than that of the south Pacific and an innocence more genuine than that of a childs. You were the warm sun on cold winter days and the cool breeze on hot summer eves. God has taken what I thought was the greatest gift away from me. But he left me with the greatest gift a man could ever receive. That gift is, through you, teaching me how to love. And that love will remain untainted. I miss watching the sun rise in your eyes, the warmth of your embrace, the sweetness of your kiss, the mystique in your gaze. I miss you and long to see you again. RIP Queen. I`ll be home soon.

Peace. First let me start by thanking you for stopping by my corner of the planet. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Something for the Ladies...

My beautiful Nubian Queens. I must start by saying I LOVE YOU in more ways than you could imagine. I love you as a mother, sister, daughter, lover, friend and companion. My existence would be meaningless without you. I know about the clich? saying, all of the good men are taken, gay, or in jail. This is not true. You must not give up on us so easily. For starters, don?t limit a mans credibility to what?s in his wallet, you will be blinded to things that are more important than finances and subsequently be hurt and blame him for being and a$$hole. I am not suggesting that you should seek someone that is clearly incapable of taking care of himself but if he is one or two rungs down on the tax bracket, please don?t look down upon him as substandard. I guess what I am saying is, as a concept, gold digging is synonymous with prostitution. Prostitutes never find love. You will find a truly good man once you learn to recognize what it takes to feed your hungry soul and not your deficient bank account. Unfortunately, we as black men are not as eloquent as we should be with expressing the fact that we do need you.(not depend on, NEED you. There is a difference) I think that has discouraged many of you. Don?t let it. It is hard to be a black man in today?s society. We have to maintain a certain level of rigidity and that can sometimes cloud how we project ourselves. I ask you to encourage the black man. Let him know you need him and want him. I am sorry that there are a lot of single mothers. Don`t let that stop you from raising your SON properly. Raise him to be the man you would want to have yourself. Don`t let your bitterness perpetuate what seems to be an endless cycle by not raising your son to be a man deserved of a woman like you. Teach your daughters to be the woman that only a good man would deserve. The bottom line is, leave that Destiny?s Child shyt alone. That?s for entertainment purposes only. Don?t say you want a "soldier" unless you are prepared to see him go to jail. Don?t say you want your "bills paid" if you yourself cannot pay them, and then have the audacity to call yourself a "survivor". Having said all of this, I am sure I have made some friends and some enemies. If you hate me and consider me an enemy for speaking these truths, I still love you and hope God smiles upon you. You have made it far in this reading and that shows you really care. For that, I embrace you and love you more. If I have made a friend in you by speaking these truths, I hope I have restored some confidence and saved the black man`s reputation. It is important that you view us in a more positive light.

Something for the fellaz...
Let me at least say this. We arelosing our most valuable commodity, our sistas, to some dumb shyt. Yes, a lot of it is their fault but the majority of it is ours and we must accept our own responsibilities if we are to expect a change to be made. We must succeed "by any means neccessary" so that we can support our women and children. And do so legally dammit. I know thats hard to do in some cases. There are less fortunate people that don`t have an opportunity at the level of education needed to be affluent but that shouldn`t stop you. The streets are tough, I know. You can fire a gun, join the military. You can lead youth into the ways of the streets, be a teacher. You know the laws of the land. You have avoided them this far, be a politition. At least that way, our military can fight a war worth fighting. You can count money, be an accountant. You can sell a product, go in to marketing. Use what you have for positive actions. Be a beneficial asset to the black community. And STOP SHOOTIN AROUND OUR WOMEN AND CHILDREN. They are all we have, believe me. No offense to my caucasian brothers and sisters but lets face reality. We don`t have the white people. All we have is us. All we need is us. The comfort and space of your Lexus or Benz is useless without a female passenger by your side. Those saftey features and TVs in your shyt are useless without kids in the back. So why put them in harms way. They need us and it is sad that we have so many single mothers. It is not natural for a woman to go throught the parenting experience alone. It is a possibility but they should not have to adapt to that lifestyle. Where are we? We are not lost but not found. We need to be rocks, pilars of strength. We need to be firm yet gentle with our women. We need to flood the planet with love and demand respect. Stop putting your hands on our sistahs. Stop puttin bullets in our brothas. I am a US Marine and have taken a life. Its not someting you want on your conscience. I too am an angry black man and I can sympathizewith your frustrations. Channel your anger into boundless positive enerys. Set the example for the upcomming generations. Be Malcolm, Martin-Luther, Marcus. Be another legend in your own right. Claim your territory and fight for it so that it will be safe for your children to play and comfortable for your Queen to rest. Be the Sun to warm your Earth that bears the Seed you have planted. BE A BLACK MAN.

Now, here is a bit about me. I am very laid back and reserved. Intelligence and generosity are certainly two of my stronger traits. Many have said I am elemental, soulful and sweet when you`ld least expect it. I stand 6`5" tall and tip the scales at 300lbs. Believe me, I a not made of fat. Well you have eyes, you can see the pictures.I have hazel eyes and wear glasses. I keep my hair either very short or bald. As the name would suggest, I am a distinguished gentleman. I hope am not giving off a vibe of conceit (the word "I" keeps popping up). That would be totally inaccurate. I am more or less "confident in a more jovial sense." I am into cars, motorcycles, home entertainment systems, literature, technology, music, golf, chess and higher education. The list goes on... Speaking of music, I do have a small background in the subject, which has given me rather eclectic taste. What can be found in my CD player----> Sade, Marion Meadows, Les Nubians, Common, Spyro Gyra, Chicane, Dousk, Everything but the GirlMos def, Anita Baker, Talib Kweli, Yellowjackets, Wu-tang, Rhian Benson, Grenique, Sade, Mobb Deep, Pieces of a Dream, Vivian Green, Joe Sample, The Roots, Jill Scott<-doin her thang in a major way, Raphael Saadiq, D`Angelo, Maxwell, SADE, Kem, 4Hero, Gaelle, Tosca, Koop, Doctor Rockit, Hed Kandi, Variety Lab, Telepopmusik, Zero 7, SiaFloetry, Maysa, Incognito, Fourplay, The Rippingtons, Brian Culbertson, Chris Botti, Rick Braun, Norman Brown<-a friendof the family, Najee, Kirk Whalum and more Jazz artist than I can mention. Of course the greatsBob Marley, PeterTosh, Burning Spear, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, MJQ, Ella Fitzgerald and so on. Did I mention SADE.

The cat in the picture with me is my "brotha from anotha mutha" (as he would say). His page is jay_swigga. I am not sure exactly when or underwhat circumstances we met due to the fact that the length of our friendship exceeds my memory by far. Anyway, BIG UPS to him. Check him out; he is one of the "last of the Mohicans." Single, intelligent, and without baggage. He?ll have you laughing your a$$ off so be careful what you say to him. Ya`mean.

I see you are quite the cyber-pimp. Pretty good for someone who went to a school whose mascot is a freakin turtle. Clearly you missed the memo that going to a school who's mascot lives in the sewer and has a mouse for a leader is not gangsta. Stay up son!

2 truths and a lie

Two of these are true about me. No joke. Which one's the lie? Take a guess...
