I've struggled with self-esteem for a long time. As embarrassing as it is to admit, I now feel comfort in admitting it. I'm comfortable, finally, in my own skin. I finally own who I am from my professional successes to my personal foibles to my professional goof-ups to my personal victories. And what a gift it is to have finally gotten to this place. It makes me wonder how others are doing on their journeys.

It's safe to say that a lot has been on my mind concerning relationships. Great googlie mooglie. I was about to delete a couple of these posts but I think it's important for folks to see the vulnerable side of a Black man. I don't know if it's sexy or not, but that's not what I'm going for.

I had the great honor, again, of MCing the YMCA Say YES to Adult Literacy Gala at Harrah's New Orleans this year.  I had fun, as always, volunteering my great talent as public speaker for a most worthy cause.  Adult literacy is a serious issue, particularly here in Louisiana.  I've even spoken to adult literacy advocates enough to know that they are very frustrated about the lack of attention that is paid to what they describe as an epidemic.
