personal message

I want to first say thanks to God almighty, for the opportunity to meet and greet some of the most beautiful as well as strong individuals on earth, that's right (my people), and you know whether or not you fit in this category! We are made up of many different shades, ethnic backgrounds, but (my people) know who they are based on the struggle. So if you don't know, then you just don't know! "We know what justice is when we feel the wounds of injustice." Aristotle (Justice!)

I love God above all things. He is the center of my life, and the reason that I live! To know him, is to know yourself and others! It is knowing, that brings inner peace beyond human understanding. So when people hate on you, lie on you, it's only because they want to be you, so look beyond their faults so that you can better understand their needs, not to excuse their behavior, but someone, has to stop the hate! "You Can't Stop the birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair." Martin Luther (Love!)

If you read the first two paragraphs above, then you have a pretty good sense of who I am. I don't like to toot my own horn, but since black planet made it possible, I would just like to say, I am Real; I am Cool; I am Kind; Strong; Understanding; Forgiving & Patient and with that said, (Peace.)

"Hip Hop -vs- America" ( Bridging The Generational Gap)

Posted

Last night or I should say early this morning, I could not sleep, as I have found myself many times before, pondering the question: How do we close the generational gap? I listened with intensity to the various views that were given on BET surrounding the subject "Hip Hop -vs- America." There were some very interesting idioms as to why our culture is in its current condition. From the subject of patriarchic thinking, which in essence means societies being ruled by males traced back to... (continue reading)

This notice, is to advise those who do not know or are not aware, that duplication of someone else's original literary works, without their permission is called plagiarism as well as copyright infringement. Since the posting of my group's name, which was formed from the poem that I have posted now on BP "Peaces Of A Dream, " I noticed an individual of whom I will not mention, using this name. The poem and name are used intrinsicly(notice spelling) and therefore can easily be identified as... (continue reading)

When A Black Man Kills

Posted

I received this URL, from my sister in Maryland, who was very hesitant to send it to me due to the fact, that this was one of those situations that hit to close to home. I felt it was my duty, to share this information with all of my sisters out there who like myself are just wanting to be loved. My first post, was about Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, and in that post, I have sub topics such as "When Tragedy Strikes" and "The Morning After." I have often times said, that events which occur... (continue reading)

Post Traumatic Stress

Don't ignore the signs, this seemingly quite condition, can lead to many other disorders, such as panic attachs, migrane headaches and clinical depression. I could not understand, why out of the blue, It happened, no warning signs, and what appeared to be a normal day at work, lead to a panic attach. I had not truly faced the tragedy of losing my best friend (sister), that's what we called each other. One day took away a lifetime of joy and happiness and turned my life into a nightmare. I had...
