Myth, or just missing the real point regarding African-American Males, and Females The myth: we can't work together. The point we are terribly missing is that by making this selection we pass up on the opportunity of accumulatiing family wealth. If we haven't bothered to notice the families that are in control are the ones who are enjoying family wealth that has been handed down from the generations, and yes that generation that benefitted from our wageless employment during slavery. So who do you really think benefits when our African-American sisters, and brothers continue to blow-up bridge after bridge, after bridge between one another. The thrill of the explosion must be nice, but open your eyes a lot sooner to view the destruction you have created among each other, and the expanding of It's time to take a serious look at ourselves as African Americans, and as people in general. Since I am Afriican- American I feel more compelled to deal with the issue that lies amongst ourselves. Others are free to express their own views about their ethnicities as they please. the issue that needs to be reviewed a lot more deeply than just the level where a cliche can be used to sum up a much needed-to-be reviewed topic such as female, and male relations within the African American communities. The proposed conclusions that we just can't seem to get along is either a myth, or we are just missing the point completely. My argument for why we can get along much better is drawn from two peiods of time in our history right here on this continent. If I draw from our history on the African continent this argument would be over in a matter of minutes for those who had the courage to research their decendents history and find that the cultural habits that they have adopted from this continent are the primary reasons that both male, and female have chosen to take the many positions when it comes to sexual, and non-sexual relationships, and especially the area where we are degrading the most general respect for one another. Regardless of the sexual orientation that we choose to make the level of respect towards one another should not be affected. That is unless you blame the other gender for leading you that way, and the argument of that notion is long, and lengthy that would show your error in making this assumption. To the eras of our past here on the continent that I referred to earlier: 1) during the period when slavery was in full affect the underground railroad was in fulloperation. Men, and women together worked towards migrating out of the deep South, and heading northward. If these same sentiments that existed today were being practiced during that time I can only imagine the level of failure the underground railroad would have experienced versus the amount of success that it really did have. What would we be reading about if brothers were only interested in tappin' that (you know what the phrase is), and if woman were as bold to say" I don't need a man"(i'll reflect on that later as wrell). Needless to say the reason why many of us sit in our homes, or plush places of residence with all the gadgets, and modern day comforts was because men, and woman of that time recognized the common foe that was against their very existence let alone their gaining any kind of wealth. They had vision(true vision) as to what they needed to do in that present day situatuion they were in to make it better for the next group to benefit from. That practice doesn't even seem to be alive, much less practiced in today's time. Nowadays it's just goes as far as from Sunday when the party weekend has ended to what we will wear on the next Friday when we meet at the club for another session of chase the beaver in the short-short skirt, or stud search. 2) The next era is the Civil Rights era where once again the united effort of men, and woman, and this instance the united effort of all races made this task as effective as it was. Please look at footage from that period when hgoses were aimed on male, and female men and women, and boys, and girls. Dogs were sicked on the same groups of people. Rights were denied to all people of color. Rights are still being denied to mainly people of color, but because a selective few are being allowed to excercise these rights that allows those few to now use other avenues to segregate themselves from one another. The original people who promoted segregation don't even have to work as hard to promote it anymore since we have voluntarily chosen to practice it on one another in the church, at the job, at the clubs as well, and just in every aspectof life in society. The fall-out has spilled into our homes as well, and who are the the casualties of war; our children who we say (for the public eye to witness) we love, and will do anything for except drop our petty differences with one another and see that their welfare is put first. the economic gap continues to grow farther and farther between the races as we continue these non-productive endeavors. Why do we continue to go on being oblivious to all this? Maybe we are spending to much time eith the fancy universal remotes while continuing to surf on our one-million channel cable boxes. Reality is: the bill is still due this month, and the rest of the year.

Shallow Deepness

Shallow waters detected after taking a test dip With the hope of getting our entire mind wet Only to find that a partial level was satisfied The eagarness to discover a euphoric experience was squashed in total disappointment because the bar was set too high dangling weighless with no rung to support it's balance or validity. Stepping in the pool of deepness(so we first summized) without first taking note of it's depth, and holding in contempt all who witnessed the lack of preparation we... (continue reading)
