"If everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot, and everything gets done" - Pastor Chris Deknatel, Promise Lutheran Church, Murrieta, CA.

Whenever I feel discouraged about the pace of my progress, I remember that it took Moses 80 years to find his vocation. By that measurement, I'm ahead of the game! The current economic crisis is an opportunity for followers of Christ to show how powerful the love of God is. Don't be intimidated by the fact that you only have 5 loaves and 2 fish while surrounded by 5000 hungry families. Jesus can still satisfy every need with what you think is insufficient, so turn it over and let Him turn things around.

As you can see, I am a single parent. I adore my son, and he is really a "daddy's boy." While I would enjoy being in a relationship, He is my first priority, because I am the one upon whom he depends. Any lady who finds me interesting should consider that she would be joining me in a major project - raising a black man who will be a leader of his generation.

I live on the west coast, where I help my elderly great aunt out. As long as she wishes to live out here, I won't be too likely to move, because I am the only one out here to help her out. If you live in another country, I'm NOT your guy. If you like living on the east coast, and want me to move out there, I'm NOT your guy. If you think I should be willing to become a part-time dad and full-fime love interest, I'm NOT your guy. Finally, if your invite sounds like every other invite that leads you to a sex site, I'M NOT YOUR GUY!!! I'm not even going to check out your page, I'M NOT YOUR GUY!!!

In addition to my son, I have two other passions - serving the Lord Jesus Christ and introducing people who would like to add to their income streams to a couple of things that I am finding to be helpful. If you want me to share with you about either of them, drop me a line. "As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend"(Pro 27:17 NKJV). I love a good conversation, brainstorming or debating, as long as it can be done with a good spirit, and we don't try to tear each other down in order to build ourselves up.

I think that should about cover everything important, so thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts, and I look forward to taking the time to read yours. Grace and peace to you!

Who Do You Love? Are You For Sure?

"Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?"" (Mat 16:24-26 ESV)

Benefactors or Bill Collectors: the gift of forgiveness

<p>"As iron sharpens iron, so does a man his friends." I must thank a friend for inspiring me to write this essay, as he asked a question that stirred me to write. He asked, in a recent online post, what forgiveness is. Several people ventured answers, including me. Within many of the answers, there was a common theme, one of the personal benefits of forgiving others. I do believe that the release that we feel is real, but that is a collateral benefit, not a purpose. I wrote... (continue reading)
