My Thoughts...

We need to take care of home before we go see what's going on next door. How are we rebuilding an entire country (Iraq) yet we can't provide healthcare for our own???? Wow. We have all this money to build new jail houses, but we have had the same schools since 1909 with very few renovations. WOW I made more as a telemarketer then I did as a Substitute teacher. WOW. Now that I have my own classoom I see that the kids are just pushed through the system. I have second graders that can't tell me what 5 plus 5 is yet can recite every episode of Martin, ever rap lyric of a lil wayne song and how to beat the newest video game.

Reparations

Reparations? Rep-WHAT?? Wake up my brothers and sisters. These so called leaders that`s whispering that nonsense in your ears is a ploy! They are preying on the poor and feeding you what you want to hear, to what??? Grease their own pockets. Ha ha, watch I get some haters for this, but I`m sorry, it has to be said. How can these "men" be leaders, be the spokesperson for us?? They are multi-millionaires and the majority of "us" are living pay-check to pay check. What`s really sad though is that NO ONE has stepped up to be the voice for "Us" It`s sad that we have accomplished so much with Marcus Garvey, Fredrick Douglass, Phyllis Wheatley, etc. Back when we had NO freedoms or liberties, yet now that we are "FREE" the majority of "us" aren't doing much of anything anymore.Oh,and don`t blame the "MAN" The man aint our only problem. We contribute to that. If we want something to happen, things to change and improve we have to do it ourselves...Look at our past heroes, was "the man" standing their motivating them? H-LL NO! Yet I`m preaching to deaf ears, ya`ll don`t want to hear me, If your cool with how African Americans (for lack of a better term) are treated, then you go on and live in your ignorant bliss, but if your like me, tired of the same ole` S--T, then let`s do something about it. It starts with one; it only takes ONE to make a difference
