I am first generation American. My dad is from Crete, Greece. So, yes...lol I really am a "Greek" woman. :) I love spending time with family & friends. I like BBQ's, playing cards (spades, poker, etc). I go out with the girls from time to time...but, I'd much prefer spending time with a few close friends at the house. I love music. I don't sing or play musical instruments. I don't have the ability. But, if I could sing I'd make everyone around me crazy. I'd sing all the time. I also like traveling. I wish I had more time to devote to it. I've been to Greece, Peru, & the usual (Mexico & Canada). I'd like to add a whole lot more places to that list. I love politics. I co-own a social service agency with a friend, I am very fortunate to do what I love and get paid well to do it. I am a single mother. I have 3 amazing children. (My son is 14yrs, my middle daughter is 13yrs, and my baby girl just turned 12.) I am so proud of them. They are in accelerated classes in school. They play sports, music, theater, dance, and do volunteer work. They are very well behaved. I don't tolerate wild & disrespectful children. They have been through a lot. But, I think keeping them busy with activities has helped. Everyone always asks the question...Where is their father at? He was murdered 7 years ago. It has been difficult on all of us. I try & believe the saying "that which does not kill us makes us stronger" & "God only gives you what you can handle". That first year I didn't believe either of them. But, things are looking up. We are on track for greatness... So, take it from someone who knows...No matter what comes your way...keep your head up there are brighter days ahead. |
