"VIVA LAREVOLUTIONA"
Thank you for taking an interest in viewing my page. It is, as I am a work in progress. What can I really enter on this page that would tell you who I am?? How do we measure the time it takes to know someone?? And don't people change?? Would you prefer that a person emphasizes their strengths and avoid mentioning their weaknesses?? Or does one pretend not to have any at all to appear self righteous?? How could I forget, wer'e all perfect ... Right? Perhaps, I'll let the person viewing this page try to analyze my thoughts and define who I am?? Or, we could all wear signs that would say who and what we are and/or were. So, who am I??? I am so many things on so many levels and yet I am still redefining myself....... so that I can become the person that God has intended for me to be. I would like to believe that I have proven to be just. That I have exercised forgiveness and can be forgiven for any shortcomings I may have committed consciously and/or unconsciously. That I have impacted someone's life in a positive way. Feels very good knowing that I have added value to someone's life other than my own children. That I have reached a point in my life where I realize the importance of God, family and community. That I struggle to define who I am in a society that is designed to control me... and to determine the value of my life. So, who am I?? Born of a mother who gave birth to three and a father that I did not really see. But whose life is what gave me the inspiration to leave a legacy, "Viva Larevolutiona"!! I am .... An extention of my parents, may they rest in peace.. I am the child that gave birth to a child at age 16. Babies having babies..... What really went wrong?? But that same son that God gave me also saved me from myself. Thinking I knew it all and didn't know anything. Remember that phase!! Thanking God for the aunt and uncle that raised me from that point on and family that understood it takes a village to raise a child. To those who helped me to develop the strengths I had within. Who stood by me and supported me until I became strong.. I didn't forget... and never will. In fact my three children know this too.... So hear I stand on my own but not alone.... empowered, stronger, better.... Always assessing myself and my objectives... Always ENDEAVORING as my Big sis to improve.. for my sister EXHALING...... There is really not a box to contain me. To my best friends.... Pris...since I was three..... our friendship speaks to the content of our character. CIANO...25+ years in.. ...what a true testament of time. To my pastor... Thank you for teaching me the importance of knowing God and for not allowing us to just play church . That we are accountable for everything we do and say. I pray that my pros outweigh my cons. Everything I have learned has reshaped who I am as a person. Mick... Thank you for helping me to understand that love is unconditional..... and that even though a person is not able to love you the way youy need them to, doesn't mean they are not loving you with all that they have. Branch.... Your right, real men do real things.... I am the sister that says... Black men rise!! Stand up and resume your place!!! No crutches.... God proclaims that you are to lead, so to lead me, I need him to be leading you. For if the blind lead the blind, won't we both wind up in the ditch?? Have a direction!! For we are only as strong as the weakest link... Brothers, more role models... Sisters, remember we do have good brothers out there..... Take your place beside them. For how can we stand united if we remain divided.... This revolution will not be televised... Each one reach one! So, do you think u know me now??
Our Greatest Fear Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
