ABOUT THE FILM

FIRST SUNDAY is the story of best friends Durell (Ice Cube) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan), down on their luck and in desperate need of $17,000 to pay off a debt that will keep Durell from losing his son. Having exhausted every logical option, they come up with their most hair-brained scheme ever...robbing their neighborhood church.  Once inside they end up spending the night in the presence of the Lord and are forced to deal with much more than they bargained for, including the choir director Rickey, masterfully played by comedian Katt Williams.

ABOUT THE CHARACTER

When Durell (Ice Cube) learns that his ex-girlfriend plans to move to another state with their son unless he can raise $17,000, he and his best friend LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan) come up with a desperate scheme to rob their neighborhood church.Ãâ&e uro;šÃ‚&Ac irc;  But when the duo fumble their way through the break-in, they discover someone has beaten them to the punch. Durell and LeeJohn are forced to spend the night in the presence of the Lord and his followers and end up getting a lot more than they bargained for.
