Has anyone ever noticed that most black people they know dont do the one thing that would help them and their children. The one thing that would set themselves up and keep them not only healthy but happy as well. One thing that Parents dont teach their children because they dont know themselves. Not religion.. Religion is taught day and night. You cant get more religious than black people unless your Jewish. Not Style.. as everyone knows All styles start black and get lighter from there.No no good folk, what I speak of is investing. I didnt just curse.. I didnt just say a bad word I said Invest. That means foregoing the new gold chain.. or the gold tooth or teeth .. it means you eat in more than you eat out.. it means you stay with the rims that came with the car instead of going out and buying 29 thousand inch rims. Yeah I'm square i guess. I dont wear my pants around my knees.. I dont "invest" in things that show no actual returns. Investment is money or time spent into a venture, product, or stock with the expectation of a return of original investment and profit within a reasonable time. Gold teeth gives no such returns.

Invest 2000 dollars into some rims and 12 months later those rims are worth.. 1500 maybe? Hell lets say they are still worth 2000.

Invest 2000 dollars into a venture that pays 10% interest per month and in 12 months you have 4400 dollars. And that is straight interest not compound interest. (by the way that would equal 6276.86). Now we wont even start talking about how much people spend into weed, alcohol, fast food and other throw away items that could have been invested.

I'm not trying to down anyone else's way of life or the choices they may make.. I am just talking about something that "we" dont talk about much.

Can I do a little more math for you?

I was having a conversation with someone and they didnt think that going to breakfast after the club was such a big deal. After more conversation they admited to going to McDonald-Wendy-King(MWK) before the club.. because every body knows you cant drink on an empty stomach. Also during the week, breakfast before work and lunch is spent at MWK. Average cost of this daily is about $10.00. $3.00 for breakfast. $7.00 for lunch. $50.00 for the work week and between $12.00 and $24.00 on the weekend depending on if he takes someone to breakfast with him. Doing the math at 52 weeks times $50.00 = $2,600.00 and $15.00(he isnt lucky that often) times 25(he doesnt go out every weekend)= $375.00. $2,600.00 + $375.00 = $2,975.. Lets call it $3,000.00, Per year invested in to various fast food and other eatout places. No telling how long this has been going on.

Addition:

I have received a few questions as to how does one invest money.. when one has no money. Simple: stop not having money. Put 10% of every penny you make into the bank and never touch it for 12 months. I say every penny because some people just save from their paychecks but they get money from other sources. If you make 500.00 per week then you would save 50.00 per week. For a year thats 2,600.00 and now you have the money.
