JAAM The Artist has always been a storyteller mainly using his canvas as his outward expression. As he migrated from the U.S. Virgin Islands, landing first in Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Fisk University then later moved to New Jersey where he completed his BA and MA. Here in the states is where he began his journey of departing knowledge and a love for the Arts. JAAM The Artist artistic and biographical vision is rich with the language and imagery of his native Virgin Island. Its accent and rich cultural essence is echoed throughout his works. During his years of college and after just moving to the United States he supported himself with a variety of jobs to finally settle in on his calling as an educator and artist. Many articles have appeared in dozens of newspapers and magazines in the New Jersey area, as well as the Virgin Island denoting his creativity and sometimes-unusual expressions.
