ALWAYS Unda CoNstRucTioN ~ It took a while for me to grasp the concept of being 48 and now I'm so fiine at 49. I'm a fine aged wine ... over forty and a minute unda fifty. I have great respect for the men & women who sacraficed EVERYTHING for the advancement of the Black Race ... Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., MALCOLM X [who rarely get his props] AND SO MANY OTHER PATH FINDERS! My screen name is Jaded n the city. NoT Jaded cause I'm bitter--bitterness would suggest that I gave BS credence; Jaded because of my age and my life experience in this trip of a world. LIGHT OUT OF AFRICA
OUR deepest fear is NOT that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our LIGHT, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ASK OURSELVES,
WHO AM I TO BE SO BRILLIANT, GORGEOUS, TALENTED AND FABULOUS? Actually WHO ARE YOU NOT TO BE? YOU are a child of God. Your PLAYING SMALL doesn't serve the world. There's nothing ENLIGHTENED about SHRINKING so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the GLORY of God within us. It's NOT just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
