What's up everyone? What is their to say? I love God's most beautiful creation. The earth in which we live. He entrusted it to our care and we have managed to do a great job in %#&@$!ing it up. Hey, there is a silver lining to these gray clouds (possibly gray due to pollution). Anyway, I hope you enjoy my environmentally conscious links and blogs that are soon to follow.....God Bless!

Ingredients: cut and washed collards, celery salt, curry powder, red hot pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, fresh garlic, adobo, onions, green peppers, red peppers, 1/2 cup... (continue reading)

Couscous

Ingredients: couscous and water

Directions: Boil 2 cups of water with a dash of salt. Remove water from heat, add equal number cups of couscous (in this case 2) and give it one stir. Place lid on top and that's it. The couscous will soak all the water and cook itself. This only takes... (continue reading)

Almond Milk

Posted

Okay, there is nothing I love more than washing down a creamy sweet sandwich or a handful of sumptious cookies with a tall glass of milk. So I had to learn how to make my own rich and creamy non-dairy alternative.

Ingredients: Almonds, water, ice, dates or other natural sweetener (optional), a mesh bag (or a nut bag), and a good quality blender.

Directions: Depending on how rich and creamy you'd like your milk, soak 1-2 cups of almonds in three cups of water overnight.... (continue reading)
